Guys, great blog as usual, very down to earth our friends travelling with us .their ban had trouble fill one tank, and the water would blow out the fill point the breather hose was being squeezed by a zip tie, and so we cut it out filled the problem this also helped the water pump as the tank could not breathe..as a tip always try to use the rear water tank frist to balance the van ill definitely be replace the small tank on our 300 with a long Ranger tank and a flexi water tank before we do our lap just lapping Tasmania has shown as the need
Thanks Pat, yeah I ended up putting a shut-off tap to the two front tanks. We use up the rear tank, then turn the two front tanks on. Works a treat now 😍
Hey, we really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing your adventures, tips and general info. We’ve picked up some great ideas from you guys, please keep them coming. Safe travels🤗
Hi guy, great video as usual. When we stayed at Norseman, we stayed at the free RV park. We found it to be really good. Maybe it was due to us being there at a different time as we were there coming out of winter and there were not very many vans. Cheers travel safe.
Good episode guys, but I don't like your negative characterisation of the Nullarbor Roadhouse. We stayed overnight with our van in October 2023 - doing a day trip (without the van) to Head of Bight. The Roadhouse was basic but had everything that we needed, staff were friendly and the restaurant was open. There are taps out the back that we used to cart water to the van’s tanks. No dust in van camping area.
Thanks, Scott, nah, We can only talk about our experience at the time we were passing through. As mentioned, you can buy water there, and it was very dusty and the restaurant wasn't open. Like anything, you might’ve had a better experience that's great 🍻. We'll just keep telling it as we see it. of course, not everyone will agree, and that's ok.. thanks for watching, mate, and we appreciate your thoughts 👍
Keep up the good work love the midweek episode. Are you planning a charter boat fish somewhere in WA.That would be good to watch.Thank god for local jetty rats to help people that don’t know the area cheers 🦐🐟🦈🎣🍻
Great video guys. Enjoying your trip. It’s been about 46 years since we last crossed and looking to do it next year. Can you tell me where you got your sandwich box from?
Hey Troy/Laura, we had a similar problem with our water tanks, it turned out that the black breather tubes on top of tanks were squashed slightly from cables ties during the build therefore making it very slow to completely filling tanks because of air locks ECT pain in the ass it was, anyhow I’ve disconnect those tubes from top of each tank, now I know it’s full because I have water dripping out of each tank (3) Bingo Safe Travels
Hi, that makes plenty of sense. l actually noticed the airline was crimped a little with a cable tie. I've sorted that out, just waiting on using all of our water to see if that was the issue 🤔
So the tanks will have a joiner hose. Get under there and identify it. Might sound stupid but just change the direction that the hose is running. Like drop it down below the chassis rail and see if it makes it drain into the tank
I recon because its a holiday long weekend thats why things are shut is because the workers around there need time off and a holiday too god bless them 🙏 🙂
Hay guys another Great episode. I think King Billy and ‘H’ should cook up seafood sticks rolled up in Bacon cut up in 1/2 with sweet chilli sauce to nip them in to yum yum 😋 cheers Geoff ohh yeah once rolled out a tooth pick through it to hold them together
For cooking, as I love Australian seafood (so far you've caught crabs, squid & fish). Maybe a step by step for preparing from being caught, like keep it moist in fresh water or salt water or ice bucket, washing soaking preparation, cooking times for the different seafood types, sauces or spices best for ....., refrigerate or freeze and how long before it goes off, what you can eat raw or not & very importantly what to do / not to do to avoid seafood poisoning. What a pity Laura does not like seafood. Enjoying your videos.
Great video guy's, absolutely stunning footage 😊 Makes my feet itch for 2025 when we (Chris) & I will be on our way too.😊😊 New subscriber here, love watching your videos, always great content 😊😊 looking forward to watching next video on Monday & in the meantime I need to binge watch your other videos 😊😊 Oh & yes I'm watching the ads😂😂😂😂 Safe travels, have fun & enjoy every moment ❤❤😊😊
There is water available at Nullarbor Roadhouse. It is bore water I think, fine for showering etc. the fill point is down by the fuel pumps a little blue box on the wall, only a few dollars to fill tanks. Hope this helps for next time
Now I know those herring are a pain to fillet but it is definitely worth it and cooking them up. They are so tasty. Some people reckon they are "neighbor" fish but I reckon they are keepers.
With the tanks put isolators on both tanks on the outlet near the tank and open one to use that tank and close the other Had a similar problem, and it solved it
Thankyou for another awesome update. We are two weeks to “go day” and I can’t wait to do the Nullarbor (we will probably stop 3 nights). We were going to stay at the roadhouses but now we will only do that if we need power 🥵otherwise it will be a roadside camp area as they look pretty good. 1 last thing, where did you get your meat / salad compartment container? I know you mentioned it in a previous episode but I couldn’t remember. We want to get one to take with us!
Hi Wow, that is exciting, l bet you can't wait. That's a good idea 3 nights. Hopefully, you get some amazing weather 😍. We purchased the container from bunnings 👍
Wow looked hectic ! Understand as u had a a sister pick up - I noted on my note book your journey but underlined to slow and stop more as well as fuel / water as leaving Ceduna . Also ta for the info re BP at Norseman vs where u stopped -ta 🥂
Hi, yes, we've punched out some ks and totally agree. We have a few family commitments, which has made us more along. We're ok with the pace because we'll be travelling these roads again 😍
We had an issue not accessing the second water tank. Eventually found that they didn’t put in a breather hose. Once it was installed then the air lock was fixed and problem rectified so maybe there isn’t a breather pipe/hose(or whatever it’s called)???🤔
i am surprised that you didnt know that water was not available on the Nullabor, and there is actually a lot to see out there, just have to do your research. WA is very different to the east coast, the towns are less populated and some are in very hostile and remote areas. When you are in the southwest, use the visitor centres and do your research and you will find some amazing places. Once you head north prepare for desolate and remote and long distances and lack of water. Totally unlike the east coast. Like your videos and love your dog.
Thanks Pam, if we researched any more, we'd have a phd. on the Nallabor 😂. Experience is gained by takeling the Rd.💯 it's remote like most parts of the West. All we can do is provide our personal experience on travelling through the Nullarbor to hopefully provide some knowledge to anyone thinking of taking the same route. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Your channel and one or two others are the only times I will watch the ads to the end. Loving the facts and figures.
Thank you, Katherine. we do really appreciate your support 🙏

Oh and a trip I learnt when camping near or at a beach use a bucket of water from ocean at camp for those sandy feet to save on fresh water
That is a great idea. Thanks for sharing. we absolutely need that idea atm ❤️

Hi Jeff, it's our pleasure 🙏 thank you for watching and letting us know 😍
Thanks for the detailed information, it will help once I start going on my trip. Thanks again

Hi guys, thanks for watching. True things change over different times of the year.
Really like how you talk through and highlight your travel update on a large printed map.
Thanks, Frank. that's great news 🍻

Hi Rodney, Cheers, mate 👍. Yes, Troy will do a few charters along the way (weather permitted)
Great video guys. Enjoying your trip. It’s been about 46 years since we last crossed and looking to do it next year. Can you tell me where you got your sandwich box from?
Wow, that will be a different experience. Well done 😊. We got the organiser box from bunnings

So disappointed I missed seeing you in Bremer Bay, hope you enjoyed it ❤
Thanks Sharyn ❤️ Bremer Bay was beautiful 😍

Cheers, mate, we'll give it a go 🍻
Good down to earth video guys, surely no more injuries for awhile 😁 look forward to seeing more videos. Ps. Bigger fish 😊
Thanks Michael, yes way too many injuries. Haha, you and me both 🎣
I recon because its a holiday long weekend thats why things are shut is because the workers around there need time off and a holiday too god bless them 🙏 🙂
Yeah, possibly. Most of the workforce is made up of backpackers, perhaps they're slowing trickling back from Covid 🤔

Thanks, Peter, you've got some great suggestions. I'm just concentrating on catching fish first 😆
Great episode, love the behind scene snippets…. Laura not your foot now lol😅 we’d get on famously. Have a good weekend. Alexandra Tassie

Good video. I’m right behind you guys about to do Nullarbor Tomorow so it’s helpful to see what I’m about to come into in real time
Ahh, awesome, you'll love every minute.👌 Safe Travels
There is water available at Nullarbor Roadhouse. It is bore water I think, fine for showering etc. the fill point is down by the fuel pumps a little blue box on the wall, only a few dollars to fill tanks. Hope this helps for next time
Thanks, yeah, that's correct 👍
Now I know those herring are a pain to fillet but it is definitely worth it and cooking them up. They are so tasty. Some people reckon they are "neighbor" fish but I reckon they are keepers.
Thanks for sharing, l have heard they go alright 👍 🍻
OHHHH GOOD ONE TREV! FIANCÉE IS WHO SHE IS! XXXX
😄 😍. Trev was a nice guy 🍻

Oh, ok. That’s embarrassing, I actually manage a Bunnings store…
I’ll have to have a look 😅

Hey you guys! cant you choose which tank of water to use? our pump has levers to shut of each tank etc xx
Hey, nah, we don't have that ability, unfortunately. 😔
We had an issue not accessing the second water tank. Eventually found that they didn’t put in a breather hose. Once it was installed then the air lock was fixed and problem rectified so maybe there isn’t a breather pipe/hose(or whatever it’s called)???🤔
Ahhh, that does make perfect sense. 🥰
Another interesting episode. I noticed you haven't made the bed! Washing day? Thanks again
Haha yes full on washing day it was.
u shold do a meet and greet while you's are going around at each stop or two
🥰

Your Jerry can looks like a water one not diesel
It's a bit hard to see from a camera lens, but yes, it has diesel only, flammable written on the tank. We wouldn't use it as a diesel tank. Otherwise.
