If I can suggest a part two, actually showing the synth clocking in time with another drum machine using Midi , USB and Trigger In would answer a lot of question for people. Sync is something that a lot of reviewers gloss over and this is often where I find glitches in the software. Again, a wonderful overview, thanks so much.
I have to agree. As thorough as this tutorial has been, I would love to hear his take on syncing with other devices.
me too 👍@@DjWuh
I tried syncing it with my rd9 yesterday and it turned to be a bigger pain than expected, I'll have to look at the software, the ppq is not even close between them
You are the #1 source for synth walk throughs. Respect how you get straight to the point and dont skip features. Thank you for what you do brother!
I love these in depth tutorials of yours!
awesome guide, as always! ❤
I think I was waiting for this one without knowing I was…. Tnx again!
The best walk thru of the patch bay i have seen, many thanks!
I always like your guides, even on gear I don't really want they are relaxing to listen to.
This is a brilliant in depth overview, thanks
i've got my Edge coming in a week and you're already here with another deep dive that i'll watch at least 5 times
Super valuable! I like the way you articulate what the various patch points do. Makes it a lot easier to understand.
Excellent walk through. I have the Edge and now a better grasp on the patch bay. Well done.
Thank you, mate. Very hard but good work! Now there's much more clearer!
Great as alway man! First thing I checked when I got my new edge, enjoy the well earned coffee!!
Excellant tutorial
Fantastic thank you very much really well explained and very informative
Excellent.. Thank you
Man, thank you for your awesome tutorials! Yo are the best! Especially liked the Bitwig Grid ones - they are way better than some paid ones I bought! Will send you a paypal coffee :)
Again another great walkthrough 👌🏻 The sections on patching the ins and outs are very helpful on grasping modular concepts, too. Well done 👍🏻 One thing I would suggest is to not talk while tweaking, so one could listen to watch happening to the sound. Maybe a minor detail, but I think it would improve the quality of your videos even more. Simply say what you’re going to do, perform the action and after that explain what just happened. By no means criticizing, because your tutorials are always a pleasure to watch… so thank you 🙏🏻
Dude. You rock so much! After looking for almost a year I finally found an edge in stock and was so happy to see you had a tutorial on your channel! You helped me learn my MS-20, Neutron, and just helped give a general understanding of analog synthesis to me. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your tutorials!
Also, if I can make a suggestion, since you also have a tutorial for the crave on your channel, maybe a video explaining how they can link up in certain ways through the patch bay can become a thing? 🧐 would help out so much!
I've had the Behringer EDGE for a few days and have also bought the K-2 and watched your videos about it. And now there's one for the EGDE since today. A fine Christmas present.
I hope you make a video for the Behringer KOBOL ;)
I should have mine tomorrow after a very long wait! I’m ready for it two craves, Subharmonican, then edge and this set up I’m going to use two j6’s! I’m sure in one of my comments of one of your videos, when I find something I like, I get two! I may have over achieved on the drum machines, Dr880 the best one ever made in my opinion, Rd-9, Rd-6, I would like an 8 someday, I don’t have the room right now, Drumlouge, dr-770, T-8 and all the ones the app store has to offer! Several samplers, etc… Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the edge! Peace. I very much want another sh-4d as well, might as well double up with the s1 as well!
Thanks!
wow thanks!
perfect tuto ! tx
Hey man, thanks. Glad to hear you liked it and it was useful :).
Thanks...😊
For those with Dawless syncing Issues~
After playing around with the Crave and the Edge for a bit, I found it's easier to keep your device plugged into a computer and hooked up to Behringers editor program to mess with it. Normally I run a pretty Arturia heavy table, my drum machine is the Drumbrute Impact. Most my equipment runs good at 24ppq.
Not so with the Crave. Works good the first time you plug it in, then it starts to get goofy.
So I turned it to read straight CV and it worked like a charm! Haven't had a sinc problem since. My edge just came in yesterday but im expecting to have the same issue and hopefully the same solution.
Im planning to get a lot of use out of them. So I'll update this if i have any better info.
Feel free to hmu with any DAWless questions!
many thanks for your tutorials, i find them very useful and informative, it helps me get a grasp of the synth. can i echo the need for a midi tutorial, as i can not get my head around how it works or the possibilities of using usb or 5 pin midi. thank you.
Can you make video like that about Roland T8? The one with s1 was awesome!
Great guides .. any chance you could do one on Behringer Chaos??
amazing! do you know anything about CC values? i know CC74 controls filter cutoff but that's pretty much it? no documentation about it so far, i've heard of CC74 in a Behringer video and that's it
Hello, this video has helped a lot, thank you ! I have one question I just can’t seem to find an answer
Can you play individual steps through the USB or midi to computer? Like the dfam with mafd does. If so how? if not do you think they will add it eventually? Thank you for any information 🙂
Maybe you can do also Eventide H90 I can not see anyone using it except than guitar players but it has midi it probably can make digital synths sound more analogue make mono into stereo it has algorythms wave I think it could be used for vocoder stuff but never seen anyone do this and probaly much more. This thing could be a really nice piece to add to synth studio's but almost all vids are done by guitar players who use it. Very weird.
Ordered on Amazon four months ago…. stilllllllll waaaaaaaaaaaaaiting.
hello. can I run this from the phones out directly into an amp without using a laptop or pc? thanx.
So how do.we.get those NIN sounds like in the teaser video?
Hey i got a question. Is it possible to shorten the sequence lenght ? Or is it bound to 8 steps only ?
Do you connect the analogue out via the phones out? Ie: how would you connect it to a mixer or interface?
guys you also have massive clicks with that device when kinda triangle, fast attack (like it should be), short decay, low filter and intern sequencer or is it just me?
Yes. That's how it is
@@Phantasma999 i would love that device sooooo much, but some settings are just unusable because massive clicks. good to know it´s not just my device, thx for your experience report.
Behringer pretending to be a music technology company is just too adorable. Keep trying to take over the world Ulli. Some of us see right through it.
Are you making music or is it just complaining just for fun .
@@NTRSN-Archive I’m making tunes while you’re consuming.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks!
