Shriek was a part of the popular 90's Maximum Carnage event... and the video game. She has a fanbase. I'm glad to have it, but it could be better. A lot better.

Congrats on your new baby! Glad to hear that everything went smoothly and your wife and baby are healthy.

Nice looking action figure. Just purchased this figure from Amazon for $11.99. Wasn't going to pay 20+ dollars.

I used this body for a black widow kitbash. But damn man I wish they actually gave female figures torso articulation. Some lower ab articulation would make this body pretty good.

I'm glad they are finally adding more articulation to the female figs, ridiculous that they didn't already. At least this figure can move alright, I agree it does look off.

Agree that this is an improved buck to the current Kate Bishop female buck that's still getting used for everything, but a severe letdown for such a new sculpt with new engineering.

I was watching a Gamora review from 6 years ago you made and it's incredible how much better she looks than this one that is so recent.

I feel you... but I may have bought like 4 on 50% sale for custom fodder lol...

I like the proportions. I understand what you’re talking about though

I agree with you 100% Anthony because I have wanted Shriek for a long time so I could put her with Carnage against Spiderman and I'm also going to retro Sandman along with Morlun that comes in the same Armidillo wave. As always, I do enjoy your videos.

Whats with Hasbro not including a screaming head scuplt, be it an accessory or a single head. This is the second time recently Hasbro has not included a head with an open mouth on a character who's power comes from screaming. The other is the recent Siryn figure that just went a on preorder not that long ago from the Bonebreaker BAF wave. Siryn uses her voice to send out sonic screams and sonic waves which in turn are caught by her underarm gliders which allows her to fly. No voice, no flying, no powers for her at all. Shriek has the ability to fly as well. Maybe if she hums something happens. Shriek even has other powers, and no energy blast FX for those either. Two characters in which their power comes from their voice with neither of their mouths being open. They'll be real handy in a battle.

Shriek has been high on my list of spidey characters and this is a major disappointment. The head is completely off and the body is real weird. Not to mention the hand choices being prioritized over her powers being included as an effect piece is just beyond baffling

I started a project with Syrin, and now that i see this with the same body but black, it would have been way better but there is no going back now 😔

Hasbro is afraid of creating figures that are accurate to the source material. The Moonstone body was probably the closest we ever got to having comic book proportions, but I've seen many fans call that mold "problematic" even though no one has ever accused Hasbro of being sexist or objectifying.

  • @brenoferreiraferreira4409

    I agree with your critics.

Well, I think you're being a bit harsh on this one.

I don't have any particular attachment to this character. Never heard of her till this figure was announced. I picked her up to fill my Spidey villain roster.

Still glad to see Female Marvel legend figure that doesn't look like anorexic, I still prefer Moonstone body overall but for smaller females this isn't bad at all.

Why can’t they just make the figures heroic like they’re drawn? Barbie looks more superhuman than this chick. Thanks for the great review Anthony❣️

  • @FernandoGastelo
    @FernandoGastelo Před 2 lety

Yes I definetely would prefer a more voluptuous body but I am ok with this one. What I'm not ok with is paying over $15 for this
