I love SciFi movies (and shows) where you can see other planets in the sky from the ground the character is standing on. So, I decided to see if I could create a shot like that in Davinci Resolve using Fusion. In this Davinci Resolve tutorial

🔥🔥THANKS FOR WATCHING!! I know this video isn't really beginner-friendly (especially the 3D section). To watch a more beginner-friendly 3D tutorial, CLICK HERE: czcams.com/video/kUruF83oRiI/video.html
Great job! Thanks for posting this!
Thanks so much for watching!
Man oh man, what a timely [well, if I'd seen it 3 days ago] video! I manually rotoscoped a shot the other day, to put my logo behind my windshield and helmet, with varying levels of Blend since the windshield is translucent... and that was 3 polygon masks, hand-drawn over stuff, and I missed something in the shot.
Less than 10 minutes with 2 Magic Masks and viola - perfectly done! Thanks, Jay!
Brilliant ! This may convince me to go and buy the studio edition.. thanks for sharing. Now off to watch your intro to 3d video.
Awesome! It’s totally worth the studio version, especially if you want to get deeper into VFX, and even color grading.
Hey Jay, good to see you again.

Hey! Thanks so much for watching!
Fusion is still evil, but I really like watching your Jedi skills controlling it.
Now the real question that I really want to know.
What's in the Banjo Case?
Machine gun or raygun?
🤣🤣
Raygun, obviously 😂😂😂
Neat
Thanks!
Nice process! I would also reduce the opacity or change the blend type of the planets so some of the main planet's clouds would appear to be in front of them. Would also reduce the saturation a bit to emulate UV haze. Also reduce the opacity of the bottom of the planets even more as atmosphere does. But this process is solid.
More davinci vfx!!!
Coming right up! I’m slowly making it the main focus of my channel.
@@JayLippman Your work on this CZcams channel is the reason i am becoming a professional. Keep it up!

Yeah, by ad revenue (if people watch) and affiliate links (if people click). You got a point, or are you just bitter?
