It’s funny I was literally watching the older video 2 days ago. Nice update. You are doing a great job. So helpful.
I just tried to do it, but when i do the white border, that border does not fit to the zoomed pictures. while the pictures are zoomed in, so they don't fill the whole screen, the border however, goes along the edge of the whole screen so there is a gap between the border and the pictures.
@@theflavourist1985 opening fusion page will resize photo unfortunately, I think this is why in his previous video he suggested resizing photos first
@@azrael201201 What's the solution? My border also is not on the image, but rather on the frame.

The control + c, alt + v attributes copy and paste tip has saved me from repetitive strain injury, thank you! Until now, I have been adjusting the blanking fill and drop shadow attributes per clip/image!

Lots of stuff in here that seems like it would be simple but as a fairly new Davinci user it helps immensely to see it laid out this way. Also, I've been doing the Blanking Fill by hand for so long and got really excited when I saw this, however I also like to dim the background image so I might be stuck still. Hopefully they'll add that option in the future, or maybe I just stop doing that haha Great video!

This was a GREAT video on slideshows. I am new to DaVinci Resolve so this was perfect. I have been using Final Cut Pro X for video and slideshows and it was a nightmare to create slideshows with a lot of pictures along with effects, etc. DaVinci makes it much easier to achieve and very fast!!!! Thanks again for the great tutorial.

Very nice update to bring it forward to DR18. And I appreciated the additional content/options not covered in earlier DR17 video. I concur with other comments that your videos are always informative and helpful ... solve pratical problems in an easy way. The old DR17 video had 2 items not covered here that I still find helpful:
1) How to reduce pics to a resaonable size for DR (e.g., turn 32.5M pics into HD size using 3rd party tools)
2) How to do dynamic zoom across several images and then make it go the opposite way ... then repeat the in/out out/in effect for entire slideshow
