Mohawk Storm!! She lost her powers then Yukio helped her get in touch with her inner thief again. Then she beat up Calisto and took her vest and the Morlocks then days later beat up Scott and took the Xmen away from him. She proved to herself that she was more than her powers and that she could lead the Xmen confidently. Just loooove it.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say anyone who doesn't like the Mohawk outfit didn't read X-Men when it happened. It's not the look itself so much as the reason behind it.

It’s funny how certain costumes become THE costume simply because it was the one you got comfortable. I think having 80 years of styles really helps create a fleshed out universe. I loved 90s Jim lee storm as a kid but black costume with Mohawk has become the one for me
Storm is one of those characters that literally anything looks good on them.
I like the Krakoa era costume best but I have nostalgic feelings for several of her older looks. The current one seems the most functional costume she has ever worn. The X-Force costume is a close second on my list.
Punk Rock Storm will always be number one for me.
My favorite costumes from her is the purple mid riff one, the Xtreme outfit ( love her kicking butt in thigh high heels) and her current Krakoa one and that may because of how amazing Dauterman draws her

My very favorite Strom look didn't make the cover! Her white midriff outfit with her giant mohawk was the PERFECT Storm outfit to me! I loved the little bits of black detailing on it with the two gold belts crisscrossed over her hips! I feel like white is Strom's BEST color. I loved how voluminous her mohawk was always drawn in that outfit! I loved how perfect and enviable her abs looked! She looked so badass and beautiful which made it the perfect Strom look to me. I wish that look would return!
I love Storm’s Krakoa costume!!!! My only problem is the inconsistency of the cape. Sometimes is shaped like a lightning bolt while other times it isn’t. I suppose it’s be cause the lightning shape might be harder to draw dynamically.
Storms current X men red costume is my favorite all time I think it looks so badass.
I may be the only person who absolutely loves the “uniform” yellow and blue look.
It’s not the best obviously, but I feel like it’s a great look. Especially drawn by some artists.
Yeah a team should be uniform together but I definitely think the blue and yellow looks better on certain characters compared to others
Only Cyclops ever managed to pull off the blue-yellow theme. I guess to an extent, also Wolverine.
The midriff costume is definitely one of my favourite costumes. It makes Ororo look like she could leave the XMen and become an addition to Destiny's Child or TLC.

Great Storm list! Your Outback costume description was awesome and the Punk-mohawk costume was a nice reference to your current X-Men review videos...they're very in-depth and fun. And thumbs up with her Asgardian costume. Just wondering what happened to that teal and white costume with the mohawk. I didn't care for it but all her looks carry some kind of story.
I also found it weird that costume didn't make this cover. I think it was excluded because that costume was associated withe the dark times of Mutant comics when Marvel was trying to push them away in favour of the Inhumans, so maybe the new Marvel mandate is to forget that era when referencing the past 😂

I’d say my top 5 from GREATEST to least are:
1. Krakoa (X-Men Red) Black costume
2. Classic White/Silver
3. X-Force costume (Elegant Mohawk and black waist gown)
4: 1:15 Storm’s GREEN civilian costume which was also featured in X-Men the Animated Series episode entitled COURAGE
5. Mid waist (Zero-Tolerance Joe Madureira’s design) THE PURPLE COSTUME >
The #13 Revolution Era costume was my favorite one. Storm looked amazing in that costume.

I've personally never rated her costumes really so it was nice to sit and have this conversation with a friend :) So T-streme outfit is higher for me, that outfit just popped. the X-men Blue & Yellow is such a classic and she rocks it! you know that uniform is decked out with computers, thermals and armor. hard to rates when she looks so great in everything
Haha Yes, I am sure the blue & yellow has a ton more sophistication hidden in the threads than its simple color scheme 😆 You would be amazed at how many times I cross out and rejumble these rankings while I am making the video. I'm a victim to my own arguments

I had that action figure too! It was my first X-Men action figure ever. I used her as a bad guy to fight Batman and my mom was like "Why is Storm bad? She's a good guy." And I was like "Uh....She's wearing black. Only bad guys wear black." That made my mom get me "Pryde of the X-Men" from Blockbuster. And, not soon after, the 90s cartoon came on. But it's because of Storm that I got introduced to the X-Men

I actually sorta hate #5/Midriff Storm’s hair. It always makes her look super alien -y to me. Kinda antenna-ish

I don't think Revolution was that bad. I just think Mr. C lost the plot of what the kids enjoyed about the X-men. But your list reminds me of how many times we've entered all-new, all-different eras with samey X-artists like Leinil Yu, Bachalo, or the Kuberts. Ugggghh.
While I don't really fuck with AOA, I can't argue with the rest of this list at all. I am an apologist for the classic 90s look for more than nostalgia, because I enjoy it as a natural, more team-oriented evolution of her outback outfit. But I like to imagine that her more fully covered costumes allow for the 8+ hidden knives, like in Marauders. But yes, bring back the Thunderdome, Outback era hair!
Now I want to see the X-force or OZT era looks again on Krakoa!
Yeah for the longest time it was like the only thing she could conceal were the lockpicks in her tiara headpiece, so I REALLY enjoyed seeing a fully-loaded Storm with knives aplenty. Not a bitch to be messed with!!

I love Astonishing Storm. It's something about that costume I love. I think it's because it's a like a white version of her original but, accessories added makes it pop.
My favourite Storm costume has to be the 90s Jim Lee white and gold look with her Bloodstorm look a close second and Goddess of Thunder third
I think her Gold Team all white outfit is my favorite from this 15 outfits of Storm. I love how big and full her hair was always drawn in this outfit! Storm always looks AMAZING in white! I really like how the cape is drawn and those giant shoulder pads! The red Xs, the lightening bolt earrings and all the rest of the detailing just work for me so well!
Mohawk Punk Storm is wonderful! I love all of it. It's her most fun look!
Asgard Storm is her most Goddess like look and I'm totally here for it! That mohawk, jewelry, lace up front, shoulder pads and wings on the side of her head are just all so beautiful!
I ADORE Storm's X-Treme X-Men look! I LOVE her in red! I wish she'd wear more red! I really love all the detail work in this outfit! Her hair always looked beautiful! She looked like a badass leader and I was all for it!

I like 90s white costume Storm because that's when I fell in love with her. Also, the original 70s has a special place in my heart.

"F" your top 4. The 90s Cartoon White "Gold Leader" Costume is the BEST with the full White Hair Style will always be the TOP #1!!! Also, Storm is going to be underrated and underused as usual. Storm is supposedly an Omega Level Mutant, but NEVER uses ANY forms of heat♨, heat wave☀, fire tornado🌪🔥 , extreme humidity 🏜, solar wave ☄🪐, or melting🌡. I'm so sick of the boring⚡🌫⛈🌬❄🌊. Hopefully, one of the episodes is a battle of Storm vs. Magneto, Bobby Iceman, Idie Okonkwo aka Oya, Human Torch, Sunspot, and Sunfire. That would test how much of an Omega Mutant she is...if any. Let's face it, Storm will NEVER get the creativity in Motion Pictures, Animation, and comics as other Top characters like Magneto, Jean Phoenix, and Wolverine

5)Astonishing (I'm a sucker for Storm in white! I also really like the gold detailing. I wish she'd do gold detailing more often instead of yellow. Her hair tended to look good in this outfit as well.
6)Ultimate Storm (It's simple, but it just worked for me. I really loved it that her hair had some more waves to it while it was super long for a while there. It didn't work when she would cut her hair short and lose all that texture.)
7)Original (There are things I like about this outfit, but it's never wowed me.)
8)XSE (I think it's a pretty boring look for Storm overall, but I always like how her hair is drawn in it and the cape is pleasant. I just wish there was something more to it. It always feels like it's missing something, but I don't know what is missing.)
9)Black Lightening (This look is far superior in white! I HATE the short hair! The side shaved look is a weird look to me. When it's her usual big and full hairstyle, that helps this look a lot to me, but without it, it fails for me.)
10)Krakoa (It think this is such a boring design that it becomes forgettable. The only part the is memorable is the ponytail, but how that's drawn has been super hit or miss. It is often drawn too skinny or too big. It makes this look meh overall.)
11)X-Force (The mohawk often looked too skinny much of the time. The outfit varied so much from how one artist drew it to the next and I wasn't crazy about the overall design of it to begin with.)

Yeah there's a whole conspiracy theory about it, and I think one of the artists might have said in an interview that they had "meant" for it to be black, but then it got carried away with being white (I think it could even have been Jim Lee who said this, but my memory is super foggy so don't quote me on it)

The best one was the one that was never used it was the Jim Lee one with the cape with her midriff showing with the ruby in the middle!! It was advertised on the X-Men Omnibus
Before we even get started I'm partial to the outfit I met storm in or should I say her second outfit. The white and gold will always be storm's signature outfit. First impressions and it went greatly with how often she used snow and cold during the series. Compared to other iterations where she mostly relied on wind and lighting
I love the white/silver outfit way more than the midriff outfit.
Add the fact that Storm and Forge were an item when he made said weapon that took her powers put her in a dark place; basically the person you love is the reason you are powerless. Mohawk Punk is Storm's How Stella Got Her Groove Back moment (even though that movie didn't exist yet! lol).
I'm with you on your #1 choice and fully agree with your reasoning on that. I'd put as my #2 her punk look and after that would be her Outback look. I hate seeing Storm in white or any other color. To me, she only looks truly like herself when she's wearing black.
Ultimate Storm being #14 is...well...a problem for me. Because she had three very specific and different outfits in that series.

@@GreatXMentations yeah. The Ultimate costumes become more distinctive after the second story arc. Or, maybe it's in the middle of the second, "World Tour." Basically, she and Beast start dating and he helps her learn to do more with her powers because he finds it all fascinating. Then he get shot and killed on a mission and she goes all goth queen in her grief and cuts her own hair and starts wearing fishnets and tattered skirts and it's just...a really interesting interpretation of Punk Storm.

I absolutely LOVE the Amalgam Amazon costume, and the only reason it isn't in this video is because it wasn't on the cover, otherwise it would probably end up getting some top tier billing

Honestly, I don't hate it! It's basically Midriff v2.0, but lacks a little extra juzh for me, so I'd probably place it around a healthy #10 after Astonishing in this list

I am the biggest storm fan and all her outfits are gorgeous period!!! And her 90s costume is silver and black period….. the black population African woman love her .. period!!!!!! Respect her!
I really like the Extreme X-Men Storm, I think it’s great and enjoyed the red inner cape however the red puffy upper arm things are way to much. If that was edited I’d be hell yeah. Astonishing X-Men Storm does work for me at times depending on the artist but what the hell are those blue things on her knees and the blue sleeves with a vastly predominantly white suit didn’t work, I think the arm bracers instead do go with her really well. I enjoyed some of the XSE costume, the waist accessory is iffy for me, it’s really difficult to draw something like that well in all the positions that Storm is moving and flying in. After that I love almost everything. The 90’s costume always gave me a silver feeling which depending on the light makes it look black or white, the Statue I have of her is more silver to give that effect.

I like any costume she has with a cape! Only one I like with out is retro-storm!! The only bad thing about the retro storm look is that she seems like she's in regular clothing! The black look with the yellow strip better 80s look for a superhero.
I wonder if the look she had when her hair was short and had the 2 long sides was inspired by T-Boz from TLC but my favorite looks for Storm are the O.G look the Ultimate look and also her lighting symbol look

My favorite is the white and yellow with big white hair
The OG costume is my fave, followed by the punk look. Of course, I grew up with those, so those are kind of imprinted on me. The problem I have with her 90's look, is that her white hair doesn't stand out from her white costume. It all just blends together.
Yeah the white is way too overpowering. It's actually a shame to me that costume is so iconic because she's had so many better outfits compared to that one (in my opinion)
The Astonishing X-men Crown looks the best. Wish they would have kept it
Joe Mad was just kind of casually throwing out some of the coolest looks Storm has ever had during his run on The Uncanny X-Men. Like that one green getup she has in that 312 Phalanx issue is great, better than any new costume she’s had in like the last 20 years and it’s just a one off look. He gave her a variant of her original costume in 326 as normal clothes too, and I think I may like it more than her original costume.
I think her '90s costume is probably my favorite of her regular costumes. Although I like it best when the giant armor shoulder pads are toned down or just gone altogether the most.
They must not have been all that crazy about the Revolution costume either, because like three issues into getting it Kubert is already drawing her in a new costume.
oh man that casual Green costume 😍 I think it made a quick cameo in the animated series too, if memory serves. Some of Ororo's best clothes is what she's worn during her "down time"
I'm with you on the midriff costume. I wish she'd worn that for longer. But I hated #1 with a passion. The cape/coat-tails didn't make sense. It must have dragged on the ground like a train. She always looked like she was a maître d' that was going to show me to my table.

So odd you slandered the TLC no scrubs outfits in the psylocke video but didn’t acknowledge T-Boz as a clear inspiration for that 90s Storm look which clearly jacked her hairstyle. I am very glad someone else loved that little Chandra/shadow king storyline tho!

The Impossible Man was part of a scavenger hunt as a result of his people selecting a new leader. On Earth, Impossible Man stole Wasps entire costume collection. Kitty went looking through the costumes to find one to wear.
I am really hoping for a Kitty one too. I think it would be hilarious. Her ever-changing costumes was such a gag back in the day, the artist could really have fun with it here
