I will never get sick of this song. Love the bass and it has so much groove. Pagliaro is so underrated we should be celebrating this guy more in Canada.
I grew up in Quebec and I remember hearing this on CKGM. I never thought I'd get to see a video like this. All I had was an AM radio and 45s. Great high school years. Too bad CHOM-FM changed over the years.
Today, as a 45 year old professional musician, i gotta say that when i first heard this song as a little kid, i thought it was absolutely a Wings song with Paul McCartney.. Years later when i found out it was Pagliaro, i nearly fell off my chair.. Superb song, and great songwriter.. One of Montreal's true rock gems..
Hey! So I'm driving, and a tune pops into my head, it's from my past (the 70s), it's driving me crazy cause I don't remember the artist or the name of the song and all I got in my head is "some sing some dance some like a romance", well after 45 mins it finally came to me. You see it's Montreal 1972, last year of high school and the guys were listening to FM underground radio (Johnny Winter, Black sabath, Deep purple, Steppenwolf etc.) and the chicks were listening to AM stations. If you were a guy you just didn't listen to AM, but now at 64 when I hear any of the music (AM or FM music) from those days ( late 60s to early 70s) I get this warm fuzzy feeling and I'm back there in high school, I know that sounds sucky but I had a blast in those years! Everything was copacetic🥳, the first car, a 1962 pontiac parisien, the music, the chicks, the drugs (shhh 🤫my mom still doesn't know about that bah ha ha ha). Anyways thanks to the music.
Pagliaro’s music sounds like Beatles/Wings Music because he recorded at Abbey Road Studios under the tutelage of Paul McCartney. He developed his music in the style of McCartney, that’s why it sounds similar.
Notice how his voice changes when he sings, "Some sing, some dance, some like romance, I love love." I'm in love with "I love love" ♥️ You have no idea how many times I've watched this video. I was in love with him when I was 10 and still in love... with this song.
What a unique and brilliant description of one truly amazing journeyman rocker! Most of the U.S. really missed out, but those "in the know" treasure the legacy of PAG❤🎸
Nochickenwingsforyou I do not agree with you because Mtl hasn't had new metro stations since 1988! The blue line was the last project and today the city has a huge problem with traffic jams and let's not talk about the potholes... Mtl froze in time while Toronto grew up! Sad but true...
Joe Buck Imagine judging a city by the number of metro stations they have, how many skyscrapers they have or how the streets look like... I visited over 100 cities and dozens of countries in my life and Montréalers were amongst the most amazing people I have ever met. Top 3 city I have been to. Toronto is not even close in term of culture and history.
@@carmenbrown3437 My older sis had pags English 71 lp ....great lp... I like : LA Temps presse", " M'Lady" & a few other of his French songs....except for "Marche pour une nation"....as quebec already is a nation....it's real name Le Canada ....well quebec & all the other French territorial land across Canada.
I think it was a 70s thing, like jim morrison, mick jagger, or steven tyler. They all opened their mouths big like that, I think they thought it looked sexy or something.

Most underrated musician ever in Canada ... Michel really does need to be inducted into the Canadian Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Yup, definitely someone who's songs don't get enough credit.
Totally agree! I will never understand. A true gem.
No guff! 🇨🇦🏔
Brilliant. Nothing more, nothing less. Just brilliant..
This is still one of my all time fav songs!! It never gets old!!
It's a classic.
I grew up in Quebec, hearing Pagliaro on CHOM - FM. I recently rediscovered him and I appreciate him even more now, what a fantastic musical artist.

After hearing him sing and play guitar, I would say he did pretty good.
Don’t forget to rediscover Offenbach and although Chom didn’t play him, check out Jean Leloup!
Souvenir Aréna Saint-Léonard 1972 .Mon premier spectacle de Michel un incontournable le plus grand rocker du Québec yes yes
Frank Marino from St.Laurent.
Your first Pag concert?
He was great. Lucky you in 72
NIIIICE.... love the sounds of the castanets ... all of it.. beautiful song!

This song is too good for Wings.
I always knew this as Pagliaro. Q107 would play three great songs of him in a row. Everybody who heard Pag loved him.

@@tamistone2632 He was under the tutelage of Paul McCartney? I did not know that. Please, could you elaborate on that? Thanks.
The perfect song start to finish.
Brilliant song with wonderful production.
This song is an original masterpiece that sounds like no other song ever made.
One of my most favourite songs that actually had some meaning to it with a great heartfelt beat.
Notice how his voice changes when he sings, "Some sing, some dance, some like romance, I love love."
I'm in love with "I love love" ♥️

He's a hottie.
He says "I love lovin'."

summers growing up it montreal what a great city it use to be then the pq happened.
We left in June 1972. I was 10.
It never ceased being a great city, especially for the last 10 years.

Beautiful song!
wonderful and i love all his music
I love Michel.
Très bien !!! Dommage qu'il n'y a pas de vidéo de l'album "PAG 73"
Well you can't have everything.
Perfect song.
Bob Johnson, were you once a record librarian?
While not my favorite song by him, it is his best
Funny but I agree. My fav. is "Lovin you ain't so easy" but I feel this is his best
Dans le temps ou les chanteurs faisait du lipsink à la télé
Pas tous...

good tunes where this guy go?
He is from Quebec. He makes albums in French.
Has a Beatles vibe
Thank-you for posting this! :)
Amazing!
Je t'aime mon ❤ Léo rojas ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂
Sam Roberts really sound like this guy.
Ya he does actually
Best song
2019?
Who were the 2 lady singers at the beginning?
what year was this??
Probably 72 or 73
Song was released in 71 if I recall.
Early 70's. I was "knee high to a grasshopper."
George Harrison's Padawan
I've always liked this song, but I've never seen this video... I find his mouth distracting, though, very exaggerated.
I was just thinking the same thing.
Did I read that correctly? Michel Pagliaro is not in the Canadian RocknRoll Hall Of Fame? What a FU****G JOKE!!
I love this song, but why does he keep opening his mouth so wide between lyrics?
He's sooooo close to a sneeze. Allergic to the show host's white groovy pants!
It's a musician thing.. He's feeling the music and lets his facial expressions flow out naturally. Every musician has this trait..
A singing voice comes from your lungs, and require air. Plus you need to throw your voice forward.
It isn't talking.
