@@thecreeperlord4556 I am 90% sure that's a misdirect. 😁Whoever it is, they're wearing the Superman El symbol, suggesting it's someone in Superman's house. That narrows it down to Superman's parents (remember, we've only seen Jor-El as a hologram), Supergirl, or Supergirl's parents. In the New 52, Kara's dad became a servant of Brainiac... but I think I know exactly who it is.

This show has truly been something special and truly gives new generations a fantastic take on the character of Superman that stays true to who he is and maintains his wholesome, earnest and kind heart with an amazing supporting cast of equally interesting and lovable depictions of Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, who have instantly become fan favorites.
And to think people were initially shitting on it because of the art style or because race-swapped some characters. Wonder what those individuals have to say now?
@@grandmofftarkin1516probably haven’t even watched the show. Most people that really hate something either haven’t seen the product and just form an opinion based on first impressions (in this case there’s people who see the race swaps and immediately hate on it with little substance behind their hatred). Or the other case is that a person hates something so much they go full circle and obsess over their hatred so they consume all the content because they “get off” on their hate boner.
Those are the two most common types of haters I’ve seen on the internet.

Seriously, as a Gen Z, this show made me understand why Superman is popular. None of Snyder’s works did the character justice. This has made me like a character I always viewed as just an overpowered, bland nobody.
That city moment in Ep 9 gets me every time. “You mess with one of us, you mess with *all* of us!” 😭❤️

Truly the moment Metropolis accepts Superman as the city's favorite son.
It was also very much in the spirit of Superman. He inspires others to help each other.
This is one of the most heartfelt shows I've seen lately, so when it gets dramatic - and, Rao, do the writers not skimp on misery for Clark who happens to be the sweetest character in the show - it wrenches my heart badly.
Turn on the captions at the end. The robot with the three dots is Brainiac and the "Kryptonian warrior" is probably Zod.
It is Zod he is wearing tho house of Zod symbol and said “they will kneel” referring to kneel before Zod.
The credits list Zod as a “Kryptonian Warrior” voiced by Kari Wahlgren. So maybe this version of General Zod is a girl under the armor?
@@DCMarvel2009 there was some talk about Supergirl appearing in this show. So maybe that kryptonian warrior is Kara. Supergirl has been brain washed or mind controlled to fight Superman in comics, hell even in Batman/Superman Apocalyse movie Kara was mind controlled by Darkseid and she fought Superman.

24:56 Clark and Sam Lane's interactions in this episode are so intense and hilarious at the same time they defy my understanding of emotional tone as a concept. I can't remember any other time I laughed this hard while my butt was stressed this much at the exact same time.

Both alone are trouble but together is truly a nightmare
And should be interesting to see, considering Zod holds a justifiable grudge against Brainiac in the comics for stealing Kandor under his watch…
@@DCMarvel2009 My guess is that this verse Brainiace manages to hide that fact from Zod and the reporter gang's investigation somehow found out and reveals it to create friction in their alliance. Or maybe not, but it would be cool if the "searching for the truth" theme of this show extends to intergalactic matters as well.

The subtitles at the very end said the robot leader guy beyond the portal was Brainiac and the one who said "they will all kneel" just said "Krypton Warrior."
I love this unique take on Superman. Krypton as the bad guys is an interesting concept
It's Brainiac using kryptonian tech, look at the logo on the robots; and it's working with Zod. The Jor El AI is good, somehow Brainiac hacked the ship.
@@sergiomedina1099maybe or maybe Brainiac here is a mere tool of the Kryptonians who are indeed interplanetary conquerors but one where the society isn’t unified in their goals with Jor El maybe being an opposition figure to whoever’s in charge of this “Kryptonian Empire” whether it be Zod or not (who knows maybe Zod is just a high ranking military official here)?
I think every episode of this show slaps, but if I gotta pick a favorite it’s 9. I love the way it positions Parasite as Clark’s thematic nemesis, and really utilizes Superhearing in this super impactful way.
Jimmy has now become the BRUCE WAYNE of the group.
P.S. Is Dr. Ivo’s suit just a statue for Metropolis now? Wonder if that will come into play for Season Two?

Glad to see you guys enjoyed the Zero Day finale as much I did. I love how it uses x-ray vision for a hype moment, that basically never happens, and how he doesn't actually hurt Ivo-he defeats him, but also wins thematically, by proving he's not a weapon as he worried.
I mean, the "They will KNEEL" line, at least to me, HEAVILY implies it's Zod. Considering that was an iconic line in a past Superman thing.
I love how excited they got at the Bibbo reference. I really hope Bibbo is like a pro-Superman streamer or CZcamsr or something
What was Bibbo like in the comics. I know him best from the Young Justice cartoon, where the heroes in that show regularly eat at his diner.
Bibbo reference, they get. Kneel before Zod and Brainiac elude them... maybe it's cuz Reeves' superman and 90s superman were how I grew up, but I noticed the robots were Brainiac the moment I saw the symbol on them.
I know Bibbo as either a dockworker or a diner owner. Unless it's niche streams of his work, I don't see him being much of an internet personality.
I also enjoyed the cameo by Trent Krimm, The Daily Planet. 😄

Can't believe Season 1 is over! At first I wasn't gonna watch it, now I'm recommending it to people who aren't even fans of Superman. Can't wait to see what Season 2 will bring.
This show feels so special. They give you the protector Superman. They give you the loving caring parents. They give you a Lois that feels perfect. I hope this show gives us many seasons.

I can't recommend enough the Spectacular Spider-Man series which is the best and most accurate interpretation of Spider-Man outside the comics along with the Spider-Verse movies and I guarantee that you will love it. I also recommend the shows Wolverine and the X-Men and Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes.

That cartoon was so amazing! I even got emotional at some points like during Peter’s mental battle with the symbiote. I really wish we got a 3rd season with villains like Scorpion, Morbius, Mr. Negative, Hobgoblin, & Carnage. I hope they review that show along with:

- X-Men: The Animated Series

I’ll never forget my best friends reaction when Clark opened the door to General Lane. It was genuine shock and surprise. I’d seen it by the time my friends and I watched it together and seeing that reaction made me smile. Glad I watched this show, made me a fan of Superman for sure.

(Coy, do you see us "All-Star Superman" fans? :)) I just saw the Season Finale this morning and, yes, it does feel like a comic TPB run! It surprised me a bit to see DC take back a little bit of its "Invincible" plot :) I think it's Zod who is asking for that kneel! (I originally thought the general was General Wade Eiling!) I am quite amazed at how the showrunners have turned 85-year-old comicbook Depression-era dinosaurs into *brand new* TV animated characters!!!

My adventures with superman made me a superman fan again. I really liked him when I was 12-13. But never really got into superman as a whole. This show got me into comics as a whole again.

I think the mysterious character with the cape is Zod. The kneel line is a nod to kneel before Zod from the Christopher reeves movies. But I could be wrong

When the hologram of Jor-El showed up in the hallway to help Clark..."Kal-El...(Kryptonian language)." I immediately thought "Kal-El, come with me if you want to live!"
One thing that was super interesting is the choice of weather in these episodes! Of course, it's a thematic decision for the tone for the end of the season, but also if they're sticking to canon then Kryptonians run on solar energy to a degree. This means on top of his sleep deprivation, Clark is weakened further (possibly why Amanda Waller said 'his power levels are lower than expected' in an earlier episode)
This show is going off in unique directions while also understanding the core of who Superman is. I LOVE IT!

This feels like the spiritual successor to Studio Mir's Voltron: Legendary Defender. I like Jack Quaid as Clark/Superman, but I always think of Boimler from Lower Decks whenever he first speaks.
The full catchphrase is "Kneel before Zod!" So when the figure says, "In the end, they'll kneel" it's an easter egg reveal that the figure is Zod, just in some changed form.

Like, even if he picked those flowers from wild areas with superspeed, they're going to die inside of a week, and need a lot of cleanup. If he payed for all of them an intern's salary? YIKES

Okay, those guys at the end are DEFINITELY Zod and Brainiac. Zod is like, the only conqueror with a built like Superman’s I know who ever says “they will kneel before me.” And come on, those robots all had Brainiac’s logo on them, including that smart robot guy at the end talking to probably Zod, so it must be Brainiac! God this show is getting me so in love and I need a season 2 now!
the villain at the end is very likely Brainiac, because of the tri insignia on the robots and because it makes sense still for them all to be kryptonian tech
"Kneel" is Zod's catchphrase. When I heard the Kryptonian warrior say "kneel" i was like: "ZOOOOOOODDDD!!!!!"
The mysterious armored figure seems to be wearing Krytonian gear so I expect he is Zod. I also spotted a Brainiac Easter egg but I'm not sure that the robot we see at the end is him.

While I trust Gunn knows what he's doing for his Supes film, I feel this show gives us the best example of how to translate his sincerity & heart in the modern world. It's old fashion but modern. And also how to really organically build the relationships he has with both Lois & Jimmy.

The whole series from start to finish was so captivating and refreshing which truly made this a great experience overall! Rewatching this with Coy and John made this much more entertaining upon second watch and made me appreciate this show much more for sure. This is up there alongside Batman: The Animated Series and Young Justice as one of my favorite DC animated shows in my personal opinion.
I think that would be Zod at the end cause of the kneeling thing at the end reminds me of " Kneel before Zod"
Also The three dots on the machines normally hint at Brainiac. In the the superman Animated series from the late 90s and early 2000s, Brainiac machines normally displayed 3 dots on the screen when the AI took control of a machine. And the Kneeling reference normally refers to Zod. He has a big thing of showing dominance
I think the two people at the end are Brainiac and Zod, especially due to the bulkier character with the deeper voice saying “they will kneel” line being such an iconic quote from Zod in Richard Donner’s Superman II. I think the other character at the end who’s thinner and speaks first is Brainiac since the logo on its head that was also on all the Kryptonian droids attacking the Kent farm is the same logo Brainiac has on his head from most iterations of the character in the comics and in the 1990’s Superman animated series. Also I never thought of Alex being Lex Luthor, but you have convinced me! I think you’re right, plus you also were able to call that the General was Sam Lane so I bet you’re right about Alex being Lex Luthor. Can’t wait for a season 2!

Just watched the finale before watching this, loved it so much! I was like omg that and that and that and that! XD I really want a second season!! What I want for season 2, Bibbo! Dan Turpin! Lex! We already know we'll get Brainiac and seemingly Zod. Bizarro would be fun. I also wouldn't say no to maybe one other hero to pop in. Flash would be great just because of the history there, but whoever really. Oh! I really hope we get Nicole Mains to be a version of Dreamer, or even if she voices Dream Girl and we get the Legion of Superheroes, that would be fantastic. I would say Kara too, but I feel like her arriving would just be better a couple years down the line since that's usually how it goes. This was just such a great show. I'm so happy they made this!
And I will say for the time that y'all perhaps start Young Justice, the credits are nice to react to also. It's mainly music and a background, but eventually there are poems and scenes and it's nice to just have moments of calm after episodes. Hence, it would also be something to keep in mind when y'all edit the reactions.

If you put close captioning on they translate Jor-El's language. And they lightly spoiled it with the close captioning, but the triangle headed robot with the cape was Brainiac. But the other caped adversary remained nameless. I'm calling it now, it's Zod. Militant, war mongering, and a great call back to "Kneel before Zod."

This is what a Superman movie should be. I love how earnest and vivid the show is. An epic fresh take on a classic characters and from the beginning they have been true to the spirit of everything that makes them great. I’m guessing the end was Zod and an pretending Brainiac serving him

Well i think is a team up of Brainiac and General Zod. The logos in the robots an the guy with a V shape face is usally Brainiac logo in the comics an the animated series, on the other hand the most famous Superman villian that use some variation of "the will kneel" is Zod, like the famous "kneel before zod" of Superman 2
