Markus Shulz, Nifra, real trance. I’m not bad mouthing Armin. Saw Tiësto live in Orlando,Fl in ‘03. Great show! I saw him again in ‘12 in Connecticut. Disappointing. It’s like he hit “play” and walked around sipping a drink.

Both trance music and symphonic metal have quite some similarities, starting by crazy good vocalists, and bands like Above & Beyond or Schiller (who has collaborated with Cristina Scabbia, Sarah Brifhgtman and even Tarja - her version of tired of being alone from act I is great) make beautiful music with some symphonic elements every now and then. Blutengel is also a band that has combined electronic and symphonic music, but they play electro dark, and their vampiric theme is much darker than the average NW, Epica, WT song

The first rebirth from Jones and Stephenson is a song way at the beginning of techno and trance even before all the different EDM genres split up. It doesn't have vocals but it's a classic and a favorite of many so you must check it out if you don't know it yet. It has an angelic quality to it.

This song was a big radio hit im my country when it came out, I loved this voice way before I discovered Within Temptation :) Sharon has fear of heights and is audible in her voice a little bit but still beautiful performance :)
