Regarding shopping carts, how much maintenance is needed to apply sales taxes? How do international sales work? I remember when small artisans got hit with VAT on online sales in the UK and Europe. Many just dropped out because of the fiscal headaches and loss of any profits entirely.
That would my hurdle with an open-source shopping cart.
Sales tax on the shopping cart level will not be a hurdle. Plus there are plugins that help with it
Can you use a cromebook for all discussed?
Yes you can
Maintaining a server? I just learned how to "right-click" on my Mac. And I'm not totally sure what's the difference between a right and left click in the first place anyway. Great advice though.
