That was brave covering that 😮
I'm just stoked that someone else outside Japan has heard of them.

Plenty of people outside Japan have heard of them -- they even toured Europe five years ago.

@@greggerypeccary they have the right to earn a living. Bandmaid's anime themes are generally both heavy and well proggy. And that kind of anime theme is designed for multiple listenings. Kanami's always have multiple earworms that creep out one by one every time you listen. It's why miku and Co went to pony Canyon from crown so they can get some of these, without losing artistic freedom. They get the commission, produce the whole creation and deliver the finished product.
Shambles is a good example, Akane's drumming is next level. There's a "drums only" extraction and it's pretty mind blowing for composition as much as chops.
Financial independence means artistic independence if you get the right deal. Not every band has a Tokyo business school graduate and a poker champion to steer these things.
Of the pigeon the band say "She gets everything she asks for plus the wallets and carkeys of everyone present".
Then they can do things like book the eggman for two days to put 1st class recording in there and get prog masterpieces like corallium in the can.
When kanami told her folks she wanted a career in music they sent her to business school.
And nobody can accuse her of not being an obsessively serious musician. Since joining pony Canyon they vê upset a lot of the old boomer fans with "too fast, too heavy and too proggy" numbers.
      Maybe you're unaware of them.
Miku financed her cluppo project with an anime theme too. Not my genre but it was absolutely her personal entertainment during covid.
Western bands could learn a lot from them.

Check out "bandmaid corallium live at the eggman" for another mega challenge.
Sadly there is no published score like there is for their "black hole".

Try "bandmaid corallium live at the eggman". Mental good. They're beasts with that one.
