    It's nice to know that other instrumentalist's understand the complications with playing fast on Bassoon. It's always good to have people around that understand that what may be easy for them is 2 to 3 times harder on Bassoon. I've experienced this in orchestra myself as a bassoon player especially in pieces where the Bassoon and Clarinet have moments where they are in unison or octaves, which is quite often.

    Burt Hara once told me the only way to get a feel for how hard this solo is for the bassoonist is to play the b flats forked. 😅 He is absolutely correct!!

    I noticed he played E without the first right hand, isn't he making the passage harder? On the other hand he also plays it with first finger left hand only quasi trill in the third iteration.

    I like Obeo and Bassoon solos in this piece instead tbh..
