- Are these the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica?
We are on the Caribbean coast and have found perhaps the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Several gorgeous beaches stretch out from the small coastal town of Puerto Viejo. We visited Playa Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva and Playa Grande near Manzanillo. Especially Playa Grande with its shipwreck was a highlight for us.
Here we also saw our first sloth. In general, the beaches here are rather wild and natural. The jungle goes almost into the sea.
That's why it's always worth to have a look high up in the trees. Here you can see sloths and monkeys. Many of the beach sections you have completely to yourself.
We don't know yet if these beaches on the Caribbean coast are the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. We found them dreamlike and are curious if the Pacific coast can keep up.

Wir waren Februar, März ind April in Costa Rica. Gegen Ende fing es mit der Regenzeit an 🌧
Ich würde im September gerne nach Costa Rica. Ich wohne in NRW, leider kann man nur von Frankfurt Direktflug aber das ist machbar dahin. Nun meine Frage. Nach langer Reise erstmal zwei Tage Hostel in San Jose und dann möchte ich nach Limon bzw Viejo. Taxifahrt dauert 4 Stunden und ist teuer. Bus aber noch länger und aufwendiger von San Jose oder? Mietwagen möchte ich nicht, schlechte Erfahrungen und doof wenn man alleine reist. Hostels besser vorher buchen Viejo oder chillig vor Ort falls ich doch in San Jose bleiben will? 🤣🇨🇷 vielen Dank ☀️
2 Tage San Jose sollten auf jeden Fall reichen. Taxi wird mit Sicherheit sehr teuer sein. Wir sind damals mit dem Bus gefahren (wir haben aber noch einen Stopp un Siquirres gemacht). Von San Jose bis nach Puerto Viejo dauert bestimmt 5-6 Stunden und in Limon muss man umsteigen. maps.app.goo.gl/dQD6tMGH6uJM5ewK7 von diesem Bus Terminal fahren die Busse zur Karibikküste 🏝
Hotels kannst du bestimmt auch erst vor Ort buchen
Wie macht ihr das mit euren Sachen? Hab gehört, dort wird man abgezogen..

Also bis jetzt ist uns das noch nicht passiert 🙈 manchmal sind halt echt Stellen, wo weit und breit niemand ist, da gehen wir dann zu zweit ins Wasser.
Wir haben auch schon davon gehört, dass welche beklaut wurden. Wenn viel los ist am Strand, gehen wir einzeln ins Wasser oder passen extrem auf. Bis jetzt ist es immer gut gegangen 😊
