I have a severe form of PCOS so hearing other women and their experiences really helps me and other women with it. Congrats on being able to conceive with it! I'm still trying after 4 years but I'll get there.

Hi there. I sympathize with you. I got diagnosed in 2017. I was 20 years old. I gained a hundred lbs over a year. Then I got Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, and my Lupus started. My ovaries don't have cysts but all the other symptoms and tests showed PCOS. By the time I was 24, I was 350 lbs. I'm down 50 lbs and going to undergo gastric bypass later this year probably. Unfortunately all the medication, diet, exercise, etc didn't help me. I'm scared to do the surgery but some people need it. My goal is to get down to about 140-150. I need to lose 1/2 my body weight. I was also told that I would not be able to have kids at my current weight. You can ask your Dr about Kaitlib Fe. It's a good birthcontrol that helps a bit. Really hoping that next year I'll be in a better place to have confidence and maybe in the next couple of years get married and start a family. Don't be scared to get second opinions and to ask lots of questions. You don't have to accept that your life is over. You don't have to accept that you won't have kids or lose the weight. I've been through a few Dr. It's scary but there is hope! Many blessings and prayers to you. Take care.

I had a hard time trying to get my first child. I found out I had high prolactin level. I was still ovulating & having a period, just was leaking milk out of my breast(weird right?). Thankfully my level magical went back to normal & I was able to get pregnant naturally with my first child(hes 6yrs old now). Fast forward to 2019, we tried for our second child & I found out I had unknown infertility (nothing wrong with me or my husband). I got on the same pills u did & we did 4 rounds of IUI with it & got pregnant with our second little boy (8mons old today). Good luck to anyone who has infertility issues. Don't give up

I found this so inspiring. I haven’t started actively trying yet, but I’ve been working with a doctor to regulate my period as naturally as possible to avoid birth control. I find it aggravates the condition for me to suppress my whole reproductive system with birth control. But I also use myo and d-chiro inositol and metformin to regulate my insulin, which has lowered my testosterone and helped me start regulating my weight. Diet is key too! I can’t wait to start on the fun part of treating infertility conditions which is actually getting to try for a baby. Soon!!

You will also need to find a good endocrinologist since you have pcos. That might be something to check into after you have had your little girl. Pcos can affect your blood sugar levels. You might already be aware of that. Take care.

My daughter got tests, ultrasound etc. They said everything is fine. Yeah well they were wrong. She went keto which helped a whole lot with her periods. They werent as heavy, very little cramping now. Then she realized she is 26 and has never gotten pregnant. So she started BBT, she lost 80 lbs as well. She has long periods, long cycles. Sometimes 53 days. She has only ovulated 3 times in the last yr. Once on her own, once on clomid alone (50 mg) and once with Metformin alone. Thats it. So she went back to her doctor. She has to wait til this May to try Clomid again, she has already had 6 cycles last year. Her doc doubled the metformin from 1000 mg to 2000 mg. So hopefully it will work. She uses the Clear Blue digi ov tests and she has gotten some peaks but in the end she didnt ovulate. Her body wanted to but just couldnt finish with an ovulation. She made an appt with a fertility clinic but cant get in til July of this year so maybe she will start ovulating before she goes.
