- Ja'Shar Bryant said he was shopping for curtains when he overheard the boy tell his mother that he lost his cellphone. The woman then accused Bryant of stealing the phone, which was later found to be still in the woman's vehicle.
The fact that she didn’t even apologize shows how much of a jerk she was to that guy

If this was just about the phone she would've gladly apologized and begged for forgiveness like any decent human being that has the capability of remorse. Gps is not exactly accurate to the degree that you could pinpoint which car the phone was located in so this was a huge mistake on her part but she didn't realize at the time. If someone accuses you of stealing, and there's no one else around, you have no damages. And if you record it while only the two of you are there, and disseminate the video, you've pretty much damaged yourself. In any event, it's not like libel, where it's in print.

And in the video he's doing most of the talking and she denies his claim. Plus damages have to be tangible. For example, he'd have to prove that he lost work or standing in the community. You can't sue people over hurt feelings.
