How to grade road with Kubota SVL75-3 and Landpride TH35 Tilt Attachment - went ok until......

- We have an abandoned county road that was deeded to us. We don't use the whole road often but it would be good to keep it in shape to drive up to the top of the ridge. And we will use the whole road as part of our forest fire break. We have a bit of erosion because the road hasn't been maintained in over 10 years. There is so much growth before the gulleys it block the water flow.
I should be able to do this with my Kubota SVL75-3, the Landpride TH-35 Tilt Attachment and the bucket. At least I thought I could until.......

I guess a wide smooth edge bucket would work better for grading? You could reach into the ditches easier. Or a dozer 6-way blade attachment, but they're pricey. I'm also in East TN and planning to buy a 75-3 to work on my forest property.
Six way dozer blades can work well but you can’t lift quantities of material like you can with a bucket. A smooth bucket definitely would leave a much better final surface. I’ve been wondering if an 84” smooth edge bucket should be on my shopping list. I’ve been watching some local auctions but thus far nothing up for sale in my price range yet. If you are getting a 75-3 new they will let you roll some attachments into their financing promotional offers so start thinking about what you might need early in your ownership. Relative newb as well but try and back up more and turn less. Makes more work and taime having to repair roads. I love my 75-3 as well. Its an awesome machine. What are they hydraulic lines? Is that one of those 3 in 1 buckets?
The lines control the Landpride TH35 Tilt Plate so I can angle the bucket 20 degrees

Yes as I learn I’ve found that 180 turn in place will dig/destruct almost as much as actual digging. Agree I probably should backup 90% more often. This road was abandoned by the county and deeded to us so it needs a lot of work due to 15+ years of zero maintenance some of the other culverts are blocked, there is deeper erosion further up the road that will need to be fixed too. Lots to do on a property that nobody maintained for 15 to 25 years

Thanks, and my neighbors probably thank you too, although they are pretty far away. I am pondering wrapping it in duct tape, to reduce the volume too, not just shut it down. I only use the skid steer on my own property and 99.9% of the time I am by myself, but occasionally there will be other people around and I would want to warn them.
