  • Please watch Kedar's Ted Talk on creating Games to Solve Problems - Kedar's Ted Talk Sept 2016 - • Create Games to Solve ...
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since June of last year (2015), Kedar has been taking his joy for programming to multiple Maker Faires across the East Coast. He received much encouragement and support from grown ups and kids alike who participated in coding events at his booth. Their encouragement, particularly from an adaptive services Librarian from the DC Govt Library inspired him to solve a real life problem using code. He created a 3D code board game called Storibot. His game has tactile code pieces that the visually challenged community can use to learn programming. Kedar’s efforts won him the Young Inventor Challenge, in the junior category, at Chicago Toy and Game Fair in Nov 2015. Watch him explain his invention to Mr. Steve Harvey on NBC at the Little Big Shots Week event on April 25, 2016. Keep in touch with us at www.littlecodeninja.com. I was very impressed that when he ran into a problem with his game, his mother did not say to put the game away or told him too bad, better luck next time. She actually took the problem and dealt with it right then and there and taught her child how to overcome and fix the problem. She got him involved with the problem solving and taught him something new.More importantly she got to spend some one on one time with her child which is the most significant and crucial thing a child needs when growing up.
