@@Itchin2Fish I will say this one of the best video qualities I have seen, old wade ,kayak ,fisherman here, 63 now but nothing like it, wade a lot , I’ve been trying to plan a camp, float and fish trip for a few years, I just haven’t been able to get enough info to pull it off, any help would be appreciated, keep up the videos,great job

Not sure where you are from, but I live in Arkansas. I first look into the miles of the trip. Most of my trips are 10 miles or more and I will split it in half. Another thing to consider is how to get your car down stream to the take out. Either by inviting a friend and taking two trucks or using a shuttle service. We are blessed in AR with a National River where you can camp anywhere you want. Some rivers have a rule, if you can paddle to it you can camp there, others are private land. Some rivers here have designated areas for camping or spots you can pay a few dollars. I primitive camp so I usually use google maps and satellite to find designated gravel/sand bars and mark on my phone or Garmin depending on cell service. Ask me anything and I can answer to the best of my knowledge. Here was a few tips. I love wade fishing. May go on a trip soon actually. Tight lines bud
@@Itchin2Fish very cool, I live in the Nashville Tennessee area, I’m from Mississippi delta, and been riding off-road for 53 years, so takes me to many awesome places, I mix my rzr riding with fishing too, Arkansas should be on my list for sure, I ride and fish in many places but love going to West Virginia every late summer, I keep 4 fishing set up under the seat at all times, and if it looks good I’m off the road fishing,lol, take care and live life to its fullest,from an old guy🎣😎😀

what goes into planning a trip like this? like where to start at, places to camp etc? ive really wanted to do this !!
First we look into put in and take out options. Is there ample parking and a somewhat decent kayak launch or a possibility. Then we look at the distance between the bridges such as 10, 15 or 20 mile floats. After we figure out those details, then we use google maps for gravel bars or flat surfaces to camp on that aren’t private. Usually have a few spots marked just in case there are no trespassing signs. Several of our rivers here have a rule if you can paddle to it, you can camp there. Not all do though. Now if you are on the Buffalo River in Arkansas, no worries. It’s all fair game.
We self shuttled in this video. We loaded all the gear in my truck and left my friends truck at the take out. We road together to put in and left my truck there.
Pack plenty of water. Hopefully this helps! Popular rivers usually have mileage maps with shuttle services online which takes out the guess work.
