Serena is so strong. I don’t think people realize, she ran into that metal net thing at full speed and hit it pretty hard, yet acted like nothing happened and brushed it off. Also, I’m not sure I would say 6-3, 6-4 is “destroying”, but Serena still did exceptional here.

Iga looks VERY good to me. I think she may be the new Serena now. We need a truly dominant player in women's tennis. These #1 for a week or 2 then get beat is no what I consider a true #1. Serena kicked ass and took names. It looks like Iga may do the same. These other women haven't impressed me, maybe Ash, but she has retired and there was something about her I just couldn't warm up to her.
Jessica I’m with you about Ash Barty…. I never warmed to her because she never had ‘Star Quality’. She was a good person but her game was actually slow and boring!! I disagree that her age is the factor. Don’t forget that she was carrying a baby for 9 months and delivered through Caesarean section and almost died. She had a wound to heal. She returned to the WTA Tour and got to 4 finals after all those near death experiences. So how do you explain yourself about all those much younger girls she beat on the way to those 4Grand Slam finals…….. The issue is her movement; that’s all!!! She can once again be quick on her feet and get to every ball and she’ll be winning again…… (don’t forget the Williams Sisters History: - they introduced extra speed, athleticism, turning defence into attack, drive volleys, quick preparation; taking the ball early!! They changed the WTA Game…, you’ll know this if you have followed their career from the 90s)
