Yes, what became of this project? It just kind of ended here... no finished product, no exhilarating test drive with exotic sounds. Come on, man, we need more.
My guess is that maybe Alex finally lost interest... Which is a shame, since the car was rust-repaired, and this engine swap seems awesome (although not exactly cheap / DIY-friendly / common)... What happened to Phil???

Nope, Phil is actually finished by now, its been painted into an absolutely beatiful red color, the engine is in properly, it drives and hes been to multiple shows with him. I guess he just doesnt have time to make videos with Phil now

Sick guys! Reminds me when I did my first(and only) engine swap, that was in a garage during 30 degrees C. 3 days of wrenching, and a powersteering hose ruined it. Was about to drive home and the hose blew in the middle of the night. Few days later and it was fixed, and has run fine ever since!.

Hey guys, when you install larger anti-roll bars on these cars, the puny mount will eventually shear off and break at the welds on the body. Please put a block behind them that rests against the body like the racing beat ones have, otherwise you'll shear off the mount and won't have a good time.
I am in awe of someone doing so much complex work to a car. Blows my mind completely

Love the MK1 MX5. I have a silver JDM (Eunos Roadster). The wife had a 1.8 V Special in black about 10 years ago.
That sound makes the engine worth the money itself
You should take it back to the track and dial it in and see what sort of lap times you can get. Maybe you can even compare it to a stock mx-5.

It makes a change to see someone building a project without a posh clean, dry, centrally heated garage with a lift at their disposal! Makes it more accessible for those who don't have the space to have a go.
Congrats! Looking forward to more videos of V6 Phil. ie. Dyno runs, driving impressions, and afterwards I think another trip to the Nordschleife is in order.

Lovely v6! For the 330d Bmw I recommend the following mods:
- hybrid turbo
- 535d injectors & rocket cover
- egr bypass & cooler delete
- decat
- larger front mount intercooler and silcon boost pipes
- custom map
Should get you to about 330 bhp.

I called it - that placement for the ECU is total garbage - moisture deleted the maps - the kit manufacturers should revise for ECU inside the passenger compartment.

I do agree, but that's still a bad engineering decision on the part of the kit manufacturer that could have been avoided. Have them make a pigtail cable that will feed through original firewall holes. ;-)
