- In the latest escalation, Russian attacks in eastern Donetsk have resulted in four deaths and nearly two dozen injuries, according to Ukraine. The Donetsk governor, Vadym Filashkin, reported casualties from Russian shelling, including a fatal incident in Komar where a 32-year-old woman died and 20 others were wounded, with significant damage to infrastructure.

The Minsk agreement was a total victory for Ukraine. The Russians should leave and a referendum be held under Ukrainian law. But the Russians never left.

No! Russia has NOT claimed Donetsk since 2014. Ukraine has been shelling civilians since 2014 but Russia has ALWAYS said that it remain part of Ukraine but without the Naz*s. Losing is NEVER attributed to a side controlling approximately 20% of its opponent's territory while *gaining ground daily* and *dominating* every aspect of combat. The speed of the progress is irrelevant. What's important is the progress itself towards fulfilling objectives. As a student of history for over half a century, to describe Russia's current situation as "losing" would also be a first.
