Ezio had to spare Rodrigo, you Know? Rodrigo is a historical figure, so Ubisoft couldn't simply kill him then and there 😂
I realise that but it still doesnt make much sense in the story
@@TheStickz6personally I think it makes sense. To me, I see Ezio as a character that has spent all this time seeking to avenge his father and brothers, killing the templars connected to their untimely deaths. As he travels, grows, matures, learns, he goes from a teenager who is basically like “you killed my family, die” with Uberto Alberti, to not killing Rodrigo at the end of the game because killing them isn’t going to bring his family back. In a sense, it’s kind of like he’s telling Rodrigo that he doesn’t have to kill him or anyone to feel like he’s gotten his revenge and can be at peace. Instead, he will get into the temple and show Rodrigo that he is the true prophet.
I mean, should he have killed Rodrigo? Part of me thinks so. But I also like that they decided to not have him kill Rodrigo in the end.
Thing is he killed everyone upto and after that point so its kinda silly.
@@TheStickz6most people make the same mistake a million times and not everyone learns from the first and second time from them
@de_gamingcat7804 yes but he did learn the lesson. That's why he didn't kill rodrigo. After he just went back to killing everyone and forgot the lesson?
What I hate about Rogue: There wasn’t enough of it
Facts because the story was great. It was nice to see the other side of the war for once
@@jaythevillian3779true
THIS
It wasnt bad, but I stopped playing, because of the overwhelming bugs I get ;D
@@jaythevillian3779Meh, they failed to fully dive into the concept, story was pretty good, but it was essentially a situational role swap, it didn’t highlight anything fundamentally wrong with the creed, which is what you would think the concept would do.
The biggest disappointment of Black Flag is that it ended
fr
Don't forget about Adewale leaving, that man was the Jackdaw itself
I think the biggest disappointment was that the story was jumpy. There's time skips, and it got so confusing. Maybe the fact the story is supposed to be taking place over multiple years just muddied it for me. Either that or im low Iq and despite the fact i only played it two months ago ima have to replay it
@@realdapug6718 agreed-It was a bit random wit the timeskips-+I feel it was overused,in black flag especially or just lazy writing to next explain the passage of time
@@realdapug6718 low IQ
I'll be honest I personally enjoyed being a pirate more than being an assassin in AC4 anyway
Then black flag is most definatrly for you. I prefer being an assassin :)
You are assassin in training in 4
@@shinobimsh5687 edward does not want to be an Assassin until the end though. Unless you mean Mary was secretly training him without his knowledge?
@@TheStickz6 last point exactly, training by luring with money🤑😂
I prefer being an assassin but Black Flag was my second favorite game
For me, the big disappointment of ac2 is that we can't replay missions
Yea thats a bit annoying isnt it
@@TheStickz6I thought they changed that in the Ezio collection? I'm pretty sure it gave me that option.
I disagree with you, origins was perfect.
You literally can replay missions ffs. Pause game, click DNA menu, choose sequence, replay mission. I feel like this should be common knowledge to anybody who played ac2
@@wambamthankumam you couldnt in the original I believe? May be wrong
I can't believe the biggest disappointment from odyssey wasn't "had no assassin's in a game titled assassin's creed" lol
Well we knew that going in so I wasn't disappointed by it lol
Nah, that's the biggest disappointment with Valhalla
@@TheStickz6 I was still disappointed even knowing it wouldnt have assassin's lol, may aswell have just called it demi god simulator lmfao
Well if you consider the hidden ones as "assassins" then you got assassins in every game of the rpg trilogy, but I get your meaning
@Professionalcummer odyssey is set before origins so no you do not have hidden ones in odyssey
The only disappointment in Unity would be of Shay Patrick not being the main antagonist.
Shay would beat Arno in a fight though.
@@Rengokuo4o6 would could should, i guess we'll never know. lol
@@Rengokuo4o6It honestly depends on the scenario or situation. Arno is better in stealth and better with gadgtes. Shay is stronger and maybe even smarter
@@SoloSilence True, everyfight honestly depends on the situation but Shay has OP weapons like his grenade launcher. Arno could get the upper hand if he remained stealthy. But Shay has huntersense and can literally detect his presence with his eagle vision. There is no sneaking up on Shay.
@@Rengokuo4o6 Yes but Shay would be old like in his 60s
I love how everyone universally agrees that Rogue's only flaw besides being a Black Flag copypaste, was that its story was too short. Just imagine all the juicy cotent we could have gotten both story and gameplay wise with Shay, an assassin turned templar. He had so much potential as a protagonist and it sucks Ubi did nothing with Arno, Connor, Shay angle as all three were still alive and they could've easily made it a dope sequel. Instead we got Arno being a simp till the end, Connor dying alone, and Shay fading away into obscurity remaining unopposed and elusive as a high profile templar/assassin hunter.
Either way the series is focused on assassins (and black samurai). Rogue was probably a single-time experiment with playing as a templar. Either way, he was too professional to be opposed and there would be no challenge for him as a protagonist. Still, he would be a perfect antagonist. Shame it was not brought into reality
Idk, Rogue in concept is cool, the execution was awful. The assassins were basically templars and vice versa. If they wanted to show the bad side of the Creed, they failed miserably. Shay is charismatic enough to make you engaged in his story, but 14 year old me, with not a single critical thought in his mind, basically said "this is Black Flag but bad". The game is soooo boring. It had so much potential
Assassin’s Creed II: we couldn’t think of anything
assassins creed 2 really is a timeless masterpiece
Not being able to replay missions
I think there's too much filler honestly. "We have to do this but first free our men now you, Ezio, have to kill the archers on the roof cause me and my sneaky boys can't do it"
A lot of the Venice section is like that
There are players who wanted to become an assassin in Black Flag??? After the first 10-15 min i knew the assassins are idiots and that the mc doesnt want to become an assassin. In BF i was a pirat that took over some assassin-skills/-traits, i never saw myself as part of the assassins.
Well he didnt become an assassin until the end so that makes sense
@@TheStickz6 you could become an assassin in BF????????
@randomcourier at the end yes, like I said
You clearly didn’t pay attention to the story.
The complaints about how assassins were handled in Black Flag were always hilarious.
Thematic writing requires any earnest story about changing ones mindset or supporting a good cause requires you to portray the cause negatively, lest the commitment to do so is dishonest. If the side is always obviously right, then any decision not to is absurd, and thus, there is no real decision.
Earnest conviction in writing can only be shown when someone takes the harder and worse path because it follows their beliefs.
I actually find that you play as adult Connor so late in AC 3 one of the best aspects of the game. It makes him feel more whole as a charater and Haythem more relatable as a villain to me.
Agreed
As for me, it felt like we actually play as Haytham, and Connor only observes the aftermath. The book adds to this feeling
I would agree if that village section didn't suck ass
Brother there is no disappointments till after AC 4🗿
Nothing is perfect my friend
@@TheStickz6 nothing is true, everything is permitted; my friend.
@@HassanKorra sure
Exactly
@@TheStickz6 certainly AC1 wasn't perfect and has valid criticisms but were the repetitive missions a disappointment or just a flaw? The root of disappointment is missed expectations, and as the first AC game I don't think it's fair to put expectations on it
In ac3 haytham part was good, the childhood and youth of Connor was a bit lagging
I agree. The reveal of the templars is worth it!
I think it takes longer to become an actual assassin in ac 2 than in ac 4 lol
Lore wise? Or game wise.?
Because lore wise, to be fair, we actually never get to play Edward as an assassin. Because he became one years after returning to England. So it might be called AC black flag, But never officially an assassin in game. "The clothes suit you" is just saying "you have the potential"
And not an official ritual.
I highly doubt that but you act as an Assassin 90% of AC2 so thats fine by me
Well stealing an Assassin robe doesn't make you an Assassin. Edward didn't become an Assassin before the after credits scene in opera. And he was in civil clothes there.
PS: If you want some Edward's Brotherhood stories check his webtoon, it's really greatç
For me it was the super tough full-synch system that started in Brotherhood and continued into later games. Like "don't kill anyone other than X" or "complete mission in less than 2 minutes" like I would think it's cool if it didn't make half the missions 10x harder in order to get 100% in the game
Isnt it good to have optional challenges that dont stop other players enjoying the game though?
@@TheStickz6 You're definitely right that it adds another layer of challenge that is totally optional and therefore can be ignored if one doesn't want to do it. I'm just saying that for my personal enjoyment, as one who likes to 100% the games in the series, it just made it REALLY difficult, in my opinion too much so. I still did all of them in AC Brotherhood through Rogue, just gave me so much grief. I still respect that a lot of people like the extra challenge, though
@@jackmull4770 fair enough. I do know there were definitely some silly ones like the one that says dont get hit in that tank mission
@@TheStickz6 dude I got so frustrated with that one. Cannot tell you how many times I restarted the mission just to get full synch
@@jackmull4770I recently got the brotherhood platinum and it was infuriating restarting missions from the beginning because the optional full synch thing doesn’t reset on checkpoints.
For me:
AC 2 doesn't allow mission replay
That's bigger dissapointment than that of Borgia.
Honestly biggest disappointment from Rogue was that you didn’t get the hood for the Templar outfit in game like they showed in the trailer.
There is an outfit for one, but the hood is only worn in restricted areas
@@retr0uk313not the Templar version of the hood, only when you’re wearing the assassin outfit not shays new Templar one.
I just modded it, lol
Bro really said the biggest disappointment for Syndicate was the combat when, although it’s silly, it still works and the parkour didn’t even have a manual jump in this AC game… The parkour was the biggest disappointment, no contest. Personally I’d say the second biggest disappointment was how it was a Jacob game when it was sold on twins. I liked Eve and thought missions were going to be centered around them working together but no, we got comedic relief as the main character and the only time the twin assassins worked together on a mission was the last chapter. It just made me feel empty and sad. Maybe the combat for third place.
I agree with most of this. I've dogged on Jacob so much I thought Id give him a break
Ya could’ve said for AC2: “No way to replay missions.”
They fixed that in the Ezio collection.
AC 2: "Uuuhhh.....Come on guys think of something bad about the game!"
"Just say he didn't killed someone!"
You think I got a team of writers back here?
Honestly except for the end mirage’s story was everything it needed to be. Nothing crazy but also nothing bad
I agree. I just live for the big wow moments like end of AC2 or revelations
@@TheStickz6I haven’t played ac2 in 14-16 years and still remember the end vividly and many other parts of
@@Chloethepomsky 14 years?! Treat yourself
One of the drawbacks of making a prequel. You know where the character is supposed to end up and ultimately holds back creativity.
@@ChristopherBrekke I don’t think so with this case basim was supposed to be mysterious but I get what you mean I was gonna compare it to rd2 but like you said we knew basim in red dead 1 there’s no mention of Arthur so we really had zero clue what would happen to him we knew basim would end up in England
Mirage story was underwhelming, mirage animations were bad, mirage the side missions were almost non existent, mirage the skill tree is pointless, i hate mirage, the story was ok the ending saved it for me but basim is far less interesting than in valhalla
I loved mirage. Focused assassin game!
@@TheStickz6 yes it’s focused nature was cool but the combat was repetitive parry with the same window and animations until you get your assassins tools, the animations in and out cute scenes were bad most of the time, the side missions other than the contracts are straight garbage
@chriscolombie4135 I liked the stories of baghdad tbh and the stealth was just so good I dont care that the combat sucks. I should have higher standards but its ubisoft, ill take what I can get lol
@@TheStickz6 stories of Bagdad were alright for me just not enough of them and none of them really hit me , the thieves mission was surprisingly good though, and the stealth was good especially in the end game , I just believe a skill tree wasn’t necessary and that if they added that they would add cool additions or pre existing ones that could work like basim combining flaming sword and the mines to make a fire explosive for crowd control or something, all those abilities could just be incorporated more directly via tutorial or story because there aren’t many abilities to warrant a skill tree like in odyssey and the rest
@chriscolombie4135 I personally hate fire swords etc in AC. Its meant to basically be our world and flaming swords are not a thing lol. I like it to stay grounded within its own rules
“Ezio didn’t kill Rodrigo Borgia”😭💀
Not a lot to pick on in AC2, but it did come back to bite him on the ass
@TheStickz6 you're not wrong
@@TheStickz6 true, it’s also wild how Cesare ended up killing Rodrigo instead. His own son💀
I find it funny how people say the new games stealth sucked, mean while Ezio literally had to speed walk around corners and just stand there like he forgotten his keys to wait for an enemy to do another Pass, just to then get detected and desynchronize mid assassination. That shot used to be so ass
And yet its still better than valhalla and odyssey
@@TheStickz6 if you say so but I prefer actually being able to like, properly do stealth instead of Makeshift stealth because the mechanics don’t help you lol 😂
@justingabriel1765 which game you talking about? The one where you have to make an Assassin build just to assassinate people or the game where stealth was literally broken for over a year and whose missions take place in environments that are useless for stealth?
@@TheStickz6 I’m not really even talking about a specific AC at all, Assassins Creed Stealth as a whole isn’t necessarily hard unless you try to do very specific things, it’s not like we have Arkham Batman type of predator combat where we can have crazy traps and things set up. I’ve literally never had any issue playing stealth in any of the RPG Games, it’s fairly simplistic. That could also be because I don’t pick the hardest difficulty for them when that’s an option, except for Valhalla I am replaying the game on the hardest difficulty settings and honestly it’s not that hard. Plus I do find it really neat how in that game you can customize your stealth settings, I thought that was really cool.
I just mean if I were to play a stealth game I would actually want to have things like a cover button and gadgets and all the things that make stealth fun at my disposal. The Ezio games had the gadgets with the poison Dart and throwing knives and the crossbow but movement made it just feel like you were taking advantage of the shitty enemy AI ya know.
And in all of the games they have their fair share of negatives obviously, like you could say the new rpgs have way to EASY if stealth because there is no desync and you don’t have to start over. Idk, Shadows looks interesting with how Yasuke will inherently have a harder time using stealth, and how environments are going to change with the seasons so you could have no bushes at times and all that, that seems like a really cool way of changing that up but I mean ultimately these games are extremely fun yeah but it’s a little ironic to say ones better then the other when they all have had some pretty annoying things in them
my biggest disappointment of whole franchise is that , we're gonna have an entry set in japan ( shadows ) and aztec civilization but not in where assassin's have come from which is persia . imagine being a member of immortal army and also being badass assassin .
pretty sure the creed originated in egypt though, wasn't that explained in origins and in one of odyssey's DLCs?
Darius (or Artabanus choose your pick) laid the foundation for Assassins as seen through his flashbacks. The whole Egypt thing is also true in the sense that it realized the concept of an explicit organization aimed towards preserving freedom. Also, Elpidios, Darius' grandson through Kassandra is the founder of the Hidden Ones. CMIIW
I’m convinced that anyone who complains about how long it takes Edward to become an assassin didn’t pay any attention to the story
Then you're convinced of something incorrect
i agree. the point of black flag is to show how edward starts off as a selfish pirate who used to cause harm and steal without reason and eventually grows into the master assasin he was destined to be
@sandstinger3454 you're right but you'd be convinced of something incorrect
@@TheStickz6 i will respect your opinion though. to each their own ✌️
@@TheStickz6Pro tip. Don’t tell people who love a story that they’re incorrect about it without explaining. It makes you look like an arrogant asshole. I agree with the comment here. The story was great. Yes it took him almost the entire game to become an assassin but that’s because this is more of an origin story for Edward and delves into how Edward thinks he’s a pirate but is an assassin at heart. But because of his delusions about who he is as well as his stubbornness and greed, his path had to make him loose everything so he can be forced to realize his flaws and grow beyond the pirate man he tried to be, ultimately accepting the philosophy of the Assassins, joining their cause and letting himself be the man he was always capable of. If you want a good breakdown of the story so *you* can understand it better, go watch Lazzerz video on Black Flag. Maybe then you’ll convince yourself of what’s actually true. Ironic considering we’re talking about Edward, a man who convinced himself he’s something that’s not true lol.
I don’t think Edward in AC4 actually became an Assassin throughout the entire game… at least not officially.
He was just helping them to make up for his mistakes and as a favor for Mary when she passed.
At the end, before meeting his daughter, he has a talk with Bonnie about what they would do from then on, asking if either of them would actually join the Assassins.
Bonnie declines, saying it’s not for her. While Edward’s says he’ll join them at a later time, when he’s older and calmer.
TIL Unity takes place during the ACTUAL French Revolution. After playing the whole game, I can’t believe I didn’t pick that up 😂😂
Wait what did you think the giant crowds on the streets were?
@@TheStickz6 just regular unhappy peasants lmao. I was like 15 & skipped or ignored every talking scene I could

Odyssey: Trying to become God of War series
I thought it was trying to be the witcher 3
It failed to be neither
@@TheStickz6
Origins was trying to be Witcher 3
I played Origins but didn't play Witcher 3 tho
"Game is greek so it's God of War" c'mon...
I would have said no replaying missions for acII
Yea that is annoying
Not killing Borgia was a part of ézios character growth. The biggest disappointment in ac3 is that Desmond miles died. I do agree with not being able to enjoy playing with Connor at an older age and I wish so bad that there was a sequel to 3 and 4. But what killed ac for me is the story line is all messed up after Desmond passed. Haven’t enjoyed an AC game as much as I have ac4 and prior
The second Desmond died is when the writers kind of gave up on any real story for the present day stuff. Also the build up for Desmond was for nothing as everyone figure we would eventually control him and take on the templars in his timeline.
i finished Mirage last night. the story was underwhelming until the final act, then i fell in love with Basims character, imo his overall storyline is up there with Ezios
Holy crap, I've never seen a creator be so active responding to comments. Not saying it's bad, it's just funny. 😂
Small creator. I like it, well mostly. Its good for the channel.
I thought mirage would some light on what Loki’s plans are! wtf 😂
I think there was a bigger part planned but looks like it got scrapped. People found things in the files
The AC2 highlighted disappointment factor was a bit of a stretch but it's understandable... what a game! Although for me, it was the ridiculous number of feathers to collect and chests to loot
If THAT'S the critique for AC4, that tells you how good the game is
Ezio becomes an assassin at the end of AC2, aka sequence 11/12 base game or 11/14 when counting the dlc.
Imo the only flaw of Black Flag is having a tad too much tailing missions.
Im convinced you didn't play Unity considering almost every piece of side content involved the revolution. The story didn't really have much in terms of the revolution with it other than a few missions and characters but you didn't say story.
So you're convinced I didn't play the game because side content has lots of revolution stuff in it? I think you need to reassess how you view evidence and come to likely conclusions then.
@@TheStickz6 by play the game i mean actually playing it not just the story if you want i can name off every singular co-op mission, Heist and paris story relating to the revolution it would take me a good hour or two. Claiming that there is little revolutionary content in AC Unity is like saying there isn't Spartan or Greek culture in Oddessy It's just not a valid claim or take. I love Ezio's games best games in the franchise but there is less content from the Italian Renaissance in AC2 then content from the French Revolution in Unity this makes me think at the very least you didn't play all the Coop missions or bother to read the codex entries or you just didn't realize what was real history and what wasn't. Unity is probably one of the more historical AC games just with the codex location entries alone.
@@TheStickz6 Side content is also a BIG part of Unity as its story isnt that long. Side content is a big part of any AC game but more so Unity as the coop which is side content is the only factor that separates gameplay from other AC games other than the great parkour
@@TheStickz6 all of those factors combined with you saying effectively that you didn't see a lot French Revolutionary content makes me think that you either didn't play the game or didn't play enough of it to actually see the content either that or you just ignored the way the game told those stories and pieces of history to you which if thats the case is ENTIRELY your fault
I think the biggest disappointment in Odyssey is that the protagonist predates the Hidden Ones. That is one reason many hate the game. Kassandra isn't an assassin like she didn't join the Order and she doesn't have a hidden blade. The hidden blade does seem like it's something she eventually gets in Nexus. That or dialogue options are the biggest disappointment. I don't have a problem with Kassandra predating the Brotherhood but I don't like dialogue options especially when there is a canonical book. I never had an issue with the grind since I always did side content. Mirage was too short, Valhalla too long, and Origins didn't miss in anything for me. Syndicate, Unity, and Rogue all have story issues.
Fair enough. I disagree with Mirage being too short. I have no problem with shorter games, especially focused ones like mirage
@@TheStickz6 I don't think Mirage is way too short but I wanted more side content in the game. There's not much to do after completing the game and doing either New Game+ or the challenge mode.
@ac_nerd9794 I dont think a game needs to offer more after you finish it though. This is a new gaming obsession everyone seems to have. You played the game, thats the experience, you dont need more. This endless need for more is how we ended up with live service garbage
@@TheStickz6 That's not what I wanted. I just wanted more stuff to do in the game. There is plenty of side content in the older games, traditional and RPG alike, with some fun quests. There could have been maybe some Tales of Baghdad like the Tales of Greece in Odyssey. Just a little bit more to flesh out Basim and his new thought process. Or just a few sidequests in between each assassination that showcase Basim's character like Bayek had in Origins. Something that adds to his character. Not another hundred quests or objectives, just a little something.
Definitely agree with the dialogue options one. AC stories should be set in stone imo, not dependent on user input. After all, it needs to be canon for the overall lore.
I guess Valhalla might have been too long but I actually didn’t mind it. I liked Valhalla a lot, so if there is more time to spend in a game I enjoy I’ll gladly take it. I can see the game wasn’t for everyone though.
As for Unity and Syndicate the story was definitely both game’s greatest issue. Syndicate still had an interesting overall story but it felt like none of the sequences really complemented with each other. It more felt like a “okay now for this sequence, this happens” sort of thingy with a lot of loose ties. It was still interesting though, and Jacob and Evie are at least memorable characters with enough personality. Arno’s personality was fine, at least I can see what they were going for, in the beginning he was a bit cocky, in the end he was just heartbroken, so I guess the character development is definitely there, but overall he didn’t really get his moments. I remember some really great missions, but not really anything awesome about Arno. He didn’t get anything close to “Sleep? I never sleep, I just wait. In the shadows. And I’ll kill you all, everyone who sniffed air that day in Siwa!” or one of the many quotes of wisdom from Ezio or Altaïr, Arno was just… existing, kind of. And that is carrying over to the overall story as well. That combined with the lack of influence from the French revolution in the story, AND the fact that absolutely nothing really happened other than Arno killing person after person with the only real exception being Bellec (and the beginning and the ending) makes Unity a real waste story wise for sure.
Not Rogue though. I agree that it was a bit weird how they presented the Templars and Assassins, It basically felt like they switched sides, but the overall story was really carried by the characters if you ask me. All of AC2-Rogue had well established characters that were really important throughout the story, and I guess that is definitely one of the many reasons why they are so loved. Rogue felt no different to me in that regard, and I agree with the content creator that it was too awesome to be such a small game. It needed to be longer.
It’s one thing that I wish they kept. Well established side characters that are relevant throughout the game. Valhalla got Darby McDevitt back and it shows, because it did exactly this. Sure, there were many non-relevant characters in the game, but also a *lot* of well established ones that mattered not just once, but throughout the story.
I agree with you on Origins, it’s really hard to find any flaws here to be honest. I guess it didn’t have that many well established characters but it wasn’t a real issue in this game because they made the overall story work really well in other ways.
Mirage in my opinion did exactly what I wanted it to do, but I do agree with you it could’ve used more side content. I did also feel a lack of linearity in the story, it suffered basically in the same way as Syndicate, with loose ties. The 3 main arcs that could’ve been done in any order had no ties whatsoever and I feel like that’s probably the biggest flaw. Bordeaux did almost perfect for their first game but if they do make another I hope they get rid of the investigation system and make a fully linear story again.
Dude really said syndicate combat was spongy, every game after syndicate was dull and spongy
Does that mean syndicate wasn't spongey?
@@TheStickz6 not even remotely close to being spongey. I never got that criticism towards the game. Maybe consider using and upgrading melee weapons appropriate to enemy's level?
@@cvxgaming6855 lol literally everyone thinks the combat is like that
@@TheStickz6the only reason people say it's spongy is because it comes right after Unity where you can kill an enemy in 2-3 hits.
Without skill points and appropriate leveled weapons the enemy takes time/lots of hit to kill but with proper equipment the combat is fast and you kill enemies left and right quickly.
The RPG games are spongy and it's not even close.
It’s sad bc ac3 really had the potential to beating the hardest (bc it was so good) game of the series. But I really think they didn’t take their time with the script and game mechanics.
I wish Shadows is good, but I don't have much hope in it. I am right now of an opinion that they need to restart the series.
I hope too
At this point they REALLY need to the plot is all over the place. The big bad in the modern time line for AC 3&4 was killed off in a comic... I had no idea...
@@Gentlemenpickleesq. yea absolute joke
They essentially did overhaul it starting in Origins. Returning to form is what people would prefer but probably won’t get.
Tbh i found the worst part of AC Mirage to be the movement, it was cumbersome at times and for being the 'fastest' assassin, Basim felt like a fucking turtle when running.
I find the only negative of the story for that game would probably be the final scene tbh
For me the story just didnt do anything exciting. I got more excited seeing hytham than any part of the story.
And I didnt notice basim feeling cumbersome at all but thats okay if you did. ;)
Basim did feel turtle-ish like before the update
“mirage: the worst story” i think the fact that its the 500th game in the franchise and has the worst combat of any game is a bigger disappointment atp
I don't. Combat is always a last resort for me. I prefer stealth and story is much more important to me than combat. Im not disagreeing though the combat is terrible
I'm right now replaying oddysey after a long time and i forgot how harsh the main quest's levels are but i personally didn't mind them, what i truly hated in oddysey were the boring repetitive side missions (especially those that gives a certain amount of time to finish it) with those boring repetitive dialogues in em
Thank you!!!
My console went off-no thanks to my dog-while playing Black Flag. When I rebooted and tried resuming, I found the save file had crashed. I was already 70% done wuth the game at this point. I couldn't restart and wound up deleting it.
The game started off painfully slow and I wasnt about to spend another six months bringing Edward up to speed, so he didn't keel over after every attack I couldn't parry.
I can't say I mind thay Valhalla forgot that stealth should've been part of a game about assasins. 😂 I've always run headfirst into a fight the moment my character was leveled up enough to take several hits. I didn't even use a shield. Wielded two hammers the entire time. 10/10 would play again for the third time.😅
Fair enough. Just means you prefer action rpgs to stealth games :)
@@TheStickz6 I don't mind stealth games, so long as they don't make stealth compulsory or my survival dependent on it. Just let me be a berserker when I want to let off steam after work. 😅
I do pretty good in stealth playing Valhalla. I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Yeah, but there’s practically no benefits to stealth in Valhalla as it ends up being faster to just rush in and attack. And the assassination part of stealth is absolutely terrible
Doing good or it being easy doesn't mean its good. Its so bare bones, no depth whatsoever. Detection system also sucks and was broken for over a year after release
@@Sebastian-nu5ey but that’s the problem you’re not patient which is like the main purpose of doing stealth. Take a real world combat situation. A sniper will take days to study the area where their target is at before taking the shot in order to learn patterns. Then takes the shot and leaves undetected.
Biggest disappointment in AC2 was that 70% of the game was in Venice while the rest of Italy had cool environments to explore
What I hate of Ubisoft is that they didn't make a game of Desmond miles being an assassin. I hate it that they kill him in assassin's Creed 3. He deserved more screen time specially a character that we wanted as an assassin
The biggest disappointment in every AC game since 3 is that they’re all made by Ubisoft.
Mirage:
Shitty combat
I admit I'm extremely new to the AC series, starting with Valhalla. There's something so funny about messing up stealth, beheading a guy, hiding the corpse, and having no one question what their colleague's head surrounded by a blood puddle is doing on the road.
Worst thing about assassins creed: the fans
For me with black flag the less assassins the better because to be honest the assassins are pretty fucking lame compared to being a pirate specially, considering you open the game by absolutely demolishing an assassin
Sure but the point is, you are an assassin
Personally disagree, but I love being an Assassin so much more than a pirate. Also he was treacherous assassin so his mind was clearly weak anyways.
@@Blazeraw110 the point is, you aren't, you are a pirate and got woven into it, because of messing with templars, so you basically turn into an assassin at the end of the game, just like you spent the first, like 5 hours of AC2 as just Ezio, not as a master assassin :}
AcBF is my favorite from the colors to the gameplay, the shanties and the combat man I love that game😌 you know what im going to download it right now and start a new play through 😊
Enjoy :)
I actually just bought it 2 days ago and playing it for the first time on my pc. I'm enjoying it alot so far
@@RicoVegito fool i downloded it PIRATED just to be lore accurate
I’m WAY ahead of you on that fam
That's why you got to explore and find your weapons to keep up with the current level for ac origins and ac oddesy and ac vahalla, and I love the story for all the assassin's creed
Ac Valhalla in itself was a disappointment
Was a bit yea
We're talking about ac 1 to black flag in 2024? We're talking about stealth in Valhalla? What stealth? They were raised as Vikings. Some are regular people. They'd be brought to light by the Animus for their impressive achievements. Why pick so many knits? Some aren't even really members of the brotherhood BY THE END of their game.
This is a strange comment...?
Fr lol 😂@@TheStickz6
So you are basically implying why Valhalla shouldn't be an assassin's creed game and your points justified it lol
I personally loved Assassin's creed Valhalla's stealth. I don't understand why people hate on it lol
There basically was no stealth and it was completely bugged for over a year
@@TheStickz6 Was it? I played it when it came out, and I thought it was amazing lol Well, to each his own, I guess
@@TheStickz6well I enjoyed it but to be fair I didn’t play it until after mirage came out. It was not amazing but a lot better than odyssey.
@@ItsLofty101 Ledge assassinations usually alerted who I was trying to pull down.
Imagine the main complaint of a game just being "took a while for the final act when the characters arc is complete" goated game
I love how the ones mentioned for the ezio games were only mentioned to have something for those 3.
I said “yup” after basically everything. You clearly put good thought in this video, nice!
Black flag and rogue were peak AC imo and it shows when the main issues are related to the story and not the mechanics
Assassins creed 2 and brotherhood are the best but yeah rogue and black flag are both INCREDIBLE
@@liamhood4981 Ac 2 for the story Ac 4 for the gameplay
I dont like sailing or ship combat so I dont like black flag as much as other people. And Rogue was written by a 5 year old so I dont care much for it at all.
Black flag was top tier, I'm replaying it now
Tbh, Black Flag is a "meh" Assassins Creed. But a GREAT if not the best pirate game you can have.
Think thats fairly accurate. I dont like sailing so not my fav game
Ezio sparing Rodrigo says more about his growth to me. He spared the man who caused him so much pain, because he was done with revenge. Killing him wouldn’t bring his family back or change anything. But letting him live with his failure , now that cuts deep.
It immediately changes something though. His son with his army and power attack the villa. Ive had this conversation so many times in this comment section so I apologise if I dont reply.
I still can not see how Odysee and Valhalla are "Assassin" Games like.
U play a viking in one and in the other one is way to much fantasy in my taste.
Of course, there always were some fantasy elements, but imo they were built in pretty well.
But in this game? It just feels nothing like a Assassins Creed game.
But it could also just be nostalgia as I grow up with AC1
They aren't assassin games
Black Flag is only a bummer because of how long it takes to get started. I swear it feels like a 15 hour long opening
Rogue was so incredibly fucking short , I loved it so much
It feels like spin off
Rogue: Your playstyle is still just being an assassin despite playing a templar.
The two best AC games’ biggest disappointment is just that a plot point took too long to point plot.
I'm so glad you don't actually have anything wrong with AC2 AND ACB, just that you couldn't kill the main villain, and need more settings. Golden games right there
to this day i cant wrap my head around the idea that ubisoft decided to go with a boring love story for unity in those times paris and france was not know as the place of love
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the love story. Its the most facinating part. Templar assassin relationship both looking for revenge on the same people. Unique and interesting, its the rest of the story that sucks
@@TheStickz6 i sorry no elise was a boring character and when she died i laughed shit was fuuny as hell it could have been done better but doing a more political and darker story of the french revolution would have been more interesting
Why do you think Elise was boring? Theres no reason they couldnt have had a political story aswell?
@@TheStickz6 you cleary don’t read on the French revolution it was all politicals and many story ideas was possible they did some in the coop missions Elise was annoying badly written love interest every line that came out of her mouth is forgettable and it’s just step incest Arno and Elise are step bother and step sister which makes it very gross
I just said they could have had a political story as well as the love story. Having the love story doesn't stop that. Theres no such thing as step incest. They liked each other from moment zero. They are not related. Being raised in the same house does not make it weird to fall in love
The biggest disappointment of AC3 was playing as Connor. Jesus I hate Connor. Haytham gave him EVERY opportunity to talk it out, and even if it came down to it, to reach a gentleman's agreement to be enemies but Connor wouldn't even sit at the table, he just "saw Templar = saw red" and Haytham is the BAD GUY!?
ACIII:
Assassin's motto: Murder your problems.
Templar's motto: Solve your problems, murder them if you HAVE to.
"BuT tHe AsSaSsInS aRe ThE gOoD gUyS"
“How long it takes to play as fully grown Connor” bro it’s like a few hrs in lmao
Yes
For me Valhalla was ruined with the COUNTLESS micro transactions and just weird unrealistic things you could get in the game. They focused more on sci-fi weapons and armour than actual viking attire and clothing
I am not a fan of microtransactions, but you really dont have to interact or see any of that stuff, so it wouldn't ruin a game for me
The biggest disappointment in black Flag is how boring the villains are. Nobody ever mentions it, which only further proves my point. Nobody remembers their names lol
"Origins simplified stealth system." The biggest reach ever
Is it?
Just because stealth isn't required for Valhalla doesn't mean it's not part of the game. The devs left the choice to the player how they wanted to go about completing missions. Some of them require combat but most of them are open ended. People dont seem to understand that
I didn't say it wasn't part of the game. I just said its shit lol
Mirage: the dude teleports
Its an animus glitch
Personally, I always thought the worst part about three was that you didn't spend the game as Haythen.
I love that for most ac's actual flaws are listed. But 2 an BF are so close to perfect games that its just nitpicks for them
People saying Odyssey has no stealth in it have never put hands on Valhalla for sure 😂 They mistake Stealth for the assassination hidden blade I believe.
For me the disappointment with Valhalla is that everything felt like window dressing. With an action packed 60 hour story that takes way too long and then hollow side activities.
Mirage's biggest disappointment was that it was supposed to be like the old games and the gameplay didn't reflect that at all. Ubisoft made such a big deal about how it was a "return to roots" and the combat was still just as painful as Valhalla's.
Ok but besides the combat how was it bad?
Honestly, the game was relatively good compared to it's contemporaries. At least they focused on Assassins in one of their games called Assassins Creed, we haven't seen that since Origins.
But I still refuse to play it. Seeing as their motto is, 'We won't change until we stop making money'. EMBARGO, UBISH!T!
@mr.mcnerdo so you haven't played mirage? How would you know the gameplay didn't reflect the old games?
Basically Everything About Every Game After Syndicate
No, origins is great. Mirage is great. Valhalla has some redeeming qualities
It was kind of nice to hear that the only thing wrong with the AC2 was the ending. It was and still is my favorite one
Ac3- lack of roof to roof parkour.
In the Ezio trilogy you didn’t even have to touch the ground
I understand Ezio couldn’t kill Rodrigo because he’s a real historical figure who did a lot after AC2, but they should have given an actual reason for Ezio sparing him. Hell, in Brotherhood he straight up says he doesn’t know why.
It was because he realised revenge wasn't worth it. Wouldn't bring his family back. But there were plenty of other reasons to kill him. I wish he had just escaped somehow
Does the Assassins thing for Edward really hold any weight? We essentially spend the whole game killing templars and Edward joining the assassins so late is just part of his redemption arc. Having him join earlier undermines that.
I dont want him to join earlier I just wish there was a few hours at the end as an Assassin. I am nuts for the brotherhood and the creed etc
Ezio spared Rodrigo simply because he didn't know what his biggest weakness is - apples.....
For me, and this may sound dumb, it was that AC3 showed in its trailer you taking on a line of british redcoats, and then in the actual mission you flank them and go to the camp and kill a guy
Bro I was sooooo looking forward to actually fighting a WAVE of redcoats
Grinding levels in odyssey probably made so much players quit
Biggest problem with Black Flag was There's no point to the hidden blades at all. Because you can do everything with the dual swords including error assassinations and drive by assassinations. I'll be honest I miss The hidden blade that has the poison the poison darts the built-in gun and the hook blade But the hidden blades are kind of a relevant in Black Flag😂
The biggest disappointment of Black Flag is how many tailing missions there are and how long it takes to become an assassin. I played it for a 2nd time recently and I got so bored I just deleted it
I feel like the repetitive looking setting in Revelations was more the fault of Constantine the Great than Ubisoft. Same with the ACII one, he kind of had to let Rodrigo live since we know how Pope Alexander the VI died and back then Ubisoft was still trying to make an attempt at historical accuracy.
Can still make districts look different in revelations. Rodrigo could have escaped somehow. AC is not supposed to be historically accurate, thats kinda the point
Real disappointment in ac odyssey is that you need a dlc to see assassins
As much as I love ACIII I fucking hate how long it takes just to play Conner as an Assassin
Mirage, Valhalla, Odyssey = their existence
Mirage is great imo
@@TheStickz6 if you have no taste or haven’t played a good game in the last 5 years then yeah maybe otherwise, no
@timhertens8502 a little better critique and less insults would be a better way to approach this. What don't you like about mirage?
AC Odyssey's grind was real, but somehow it worked for me.
Also can you elaborate more on AC Unity's flaw of using the French Revolution background more effectively? The story missions aren't exactly too detached from the surrounding environment. We also get to dip our hands in ensuring Parisians don't just drop dead from starvation with the whole grain and bread debaucle. Lastly, the co-op missions captures some of French Revolution's key events, though the historical accuracy can be reevaluated.
I've never played the co op missions. Just felt it was more set dressing that really intertwinned into the story.
AC also isn't suppossed to be historically accurate. Thats kind of the point.
The Black flag disappointment on this listing was so disappointing because Black flag is a goated game
Its okay to still find flaws in things we love
I think the AC 2 thing could've worked if the game made it so that, by the time you got to Rodrigo, he is no longer a threat, and had no power and basically was just rotting away, kinda like how gta 4 handled one of its villains, but the problem is that Rodrigo was still very much a threat and still had a lot of power and would continue doing horrible shit, so ezio not killing him doesn't make that much sense, especially when he had murdered like hundreds of guards to get to that point.
