So what if I had immortality? What would I do with an infinite amount of time? Will I spend my eternal life traveling the world or try to become a cult leader and destroy humanity? Being immortal sounds cool until you realize it's a curse. Today Daniel, Stephen, and Hosuh will go explore the concept of immortality and discuss the possible outcomes.

I really love the way Stephen always acts like such a carefree guy but this video proved to me that he can be a wise kinda person and tbh I totally agree with what he said about heartbreaks and emotions ,that is the exact same reason why I think most of the people don't understand how agonizing immortality could be(neither do I I've never experienced it but still know that it's not entirely great)
I still feel like any amount of pain experienced long enough will either make you accept it one day or get so numb to it you won’t even care about the lives of anybody
And again you’ll have infinite amount of time ahead of you
You won’t just feel sad for couple of decades because even I don’t feel the grief of losing a family member 5 years after it happened

What Steven was saying about how love would be so painful, can you imagine the person you love most died and you eventually fell in love with someone new, and they went on to die and the same thing happened over and over and over, and then one day you think back to the first person that you initially loved, the pain would be unbearable
I would think the opposite, the more death you experience, the more desensitised. Also the mind would have a theoretical physical limit of how much memory you could store.

Infinite time to find other universes. you have now become a spaceship that dies every few minutes due to a lack of oxygen. floating endlessly until you find another habitable planet. or the gravity of something such as the sun pulls you in and then you just sit there and burn over and over. You get sucked into a black hole and mentally solve one of the biggest questions. What is a black hole? But you have no one to share it with. This immortality which should give you all the freedom in the world has trapped you because despite not being able to die you are still bound by the laws of physics and nature. Lost in an endless prison.

1. Everyone gone excluding you(unless they become immortal)
2. No one to talk to
3. No one would ever find out
4. Time would fly
5. You would be very bored
6. You'd eventually go insane

8. You're still getting older(either mentally, physically, or both)

Immortality is lonely on your own. It's... Hard not to see normal humanity as anything other than pets after a few centuries.
It's best to keep setting up relationships to keep yourself sane, even through there will be inevitable heartbreak, you will carry their memory, keep your kids company until they die, and cherish them until you are not needed any longer.
Immortality is a curse for the one alone, but even alone you can make others happy.
