  • Best viewed in 60 fps. I'm player 1 and MrMario is player 2. Passwords were used between some stages. A map was referred to between stages, but the game was never paused to check it. I wasn't 100% familiar with the maps, so I didn't always take the best path, although I also didn't get too stuck on any stages. / mrmariobros222

    I like how they named a lot of the levels after scary movies. I want to watch most if not all the movies, especially with my Mom whom I love. I used to watch her play this, and I tried it. I never got very far, it's nice to see another person beat the video game.

    The only KONAMI game that uses GEMS...
    That would be my expectations if they ever ported Sam & Max hit the road for the SEGA CD as in game bgm.

      I may eventually make a 2p SNES video of this game, but that isn't something I would want to do right now. I don't know about Sega Bass Fishing, but I did plan on eventually trying 18 Wheeler. I also plan to eventually try 2 player Crazy Taxi on PSP, but none of these are things that I'm going to be getting done right away. There is just a lot that I already have to do.

      @@peterkrug4124I believe it's mainly just that the music is arguably better on the SNES version, and the Genesis one has the radar off to the side of the screen, while it's on the main part of the screen and can be switched off on SNES. I believe the flamethrower also only shows up on SNES.

      @@arronmunroe the SNES version has stretched graphics to match snes resolution, GENESIS has correct resolution and plays faster and smoother. I think it has higher fps. There is a hack for Genesis version that removes the black HUD so you have widescreen in proper resolution. There is also a hack that randomizes levels order played and item and enemy placement and player starting point. And a never ending mania mode w randomization. Hopefully more improvement hacks to come. Wonderful game tho regardless of the version.

      In that case, as long as you have two controllers plugged into the system, just press the start button on each controller at the character select screen. At least that is how I would expect it to work for you.

    SPOILERS: this is not a full game, you missed a bonus available in level 1 which you need a bazooka or beast potion to get, it takes you to the first bonus level of the game, plus you didn't get the level 12 secret bonus either, I don't know if just 1 player has to get all the victims to get it, but I happen to know you didn't get it, in fact I can tell you missed at least 3 secret levels

    • @arronmunroe
      @arronmunroe  Před 3 lety +3

      Seems to be the case for the audio in most Genesis games. At least, I can't think of any games where I would consider the Genesis version better in that area. I do consider this game to have one advantage over SNES, though, and that is the radar being on the right side of the screen.

    • @lumlee1
      @lumlee1 Před 3 lety +2

      I do not know what so great about SNES audio to be frank. If you are talking abt the OST music, it depends on which console you grew up with. But if you are talking abt the sound, there's is one fact that you didn't observe. SNES have both characters "Ouch" the same tone when they get HP damage, but genesis made the guy (Zeke) tone a deeper tone compared to the girl (Julie). That is one obvious fact a lot fail to see that Genesis sound is better. SNES only put Julie's sound tone on Zeke as well.
