It would be way better in a 5.7, I ran it on a 78/75(bent all 8 rods, cause I set it on moon boost) I was seeing boost at 3-3500 which is about normal, but you should see 5lbs almost instantly… Get rid of that bump stick and put some boost in that thing…💪🏾👍🏾
What size wheels an tires? Truck is nice though. I want to run the btr stage 2 truck cam. I have a 3600 circle d stall but i feel like its to much stall even for the stage 3 truck cam.
17x7 and 15x10, I have 296-65-15’s on the rear and 235-60-17 on the front I believe, now the rear is on 275-60’s (28”) I think the 3600 would work fine, maybe a tad loose but it should leave hard.

Sands10 Welding it comes it pretty gnarly around 3500-4500... but your stall is going to regulate that more. I don’t know the specs on the stage 3 but if I had a 5.3 I’d still go stage 2 just in case if drive ability issues come up.

Maika Mahiai it’s designed for boost, but if you plan on going turbo I’d do it... and the chop will have a lot to do with the tune, but if you get an over aggressive cam on a small engine it will hurt power.
These comments slay me, try going back 25 years with a carbed 350 smog motor and 305H and tell me that cam is too big. Modern engines are a cake walk with a big stick.

deegan727 My friends say, supercharger will be good on a 6.0 . You get no power with 6.0 & turbo. They say 4.8 is better then 5.3 and 6.0 with turbo.
The 4.8 in stock form will get destroyed by a 6.0 with the same turbo, bigger is almost always better...

I wouldn’t recommend it, it’s specific for higher rpm boosted applications

Call Brian Tooley Racing, there are a ton of variables that they will have to go over to pic the proper camshaft. That’s the easy way.

Whatever the stock engine is, the only change was LS9 headgaskets I think.
And the only reason I changed those was the heads had to come off for the lifters
