Thanks for watching !
Thanks for watching everyone ! Check out the free color wheel on my website (link in description box) if you're interested and, to learn more, you can check out the full pdf version or the complete Color Course. As always, joy and inspiration to you all !
I hope you viewers realize you are listening to a bonafide genius teacher. Florent's teaching is crystal clear. He utters no wasted words---every sentence advances knowledge and nothing more. In my opinion, Florent's content is the best on all of CZcams
nah, he waste a lot of precious time making all of it wonderful, yes is cool, but is a waste of time nonetheless
Mr Farges, you wonderfully combine the attitude of the methodical scientist with the emotion and vision of the artist. Your art is beautiful and your teaching is inspirational.
I can’t believe I understood this. You are a great teacher. This was such an elegant explanation of the hardest part of painting
There are so many helpful features on your color wheels. I especially appreciate the medium and low chroma wheels, as well as the matching tube colors. I taught color in art classes, and have never seen this kind of solution for chromas so accurately, such an ingenius solution for a well researched topic. Thank you for your hard work as well as making it free for your viewers!
Glad you like my work ! Thank you very much !
So this is what a legendary teacher would look like!
As a new artist learning to paint and also doing some digital projects I found this video extremely useful. Thank you for making this.
CAN YOU IMAGINE that there are even MORE colors in HEAVEN? Hundreds+ testimonies...can't wait!
I cannot even imagine them! I was so excited to hear that, i look forward to seeing them in Heaven.
Our physical eyes cannot see the full spectrums there but also there are layers of translucency in things and plants like sky high cedars and 6 food wide flowers are even more alive, sing and such! I asked a tree down the road at the park to TOUCH ME IF IT COUKD HEAR ME and that low branch pushed INTO THE WIND 2 feet to not only touch my face within 30 seconds but pushed further to embrace my face! There are devices that play the sound frequency of different vegetation here and I have a 24 hour video of indoor plants that move throughout the day! A tomato plant will grow larger tomatoes if you put red coverings under it, competing with what it things is its neighbor tomato! Gods creation is amazing even here more than we know.
@@lisavento7474 indeed ✝️He is an awesome God, His Creation defies description of its beauty. So Interested in your sound plants and yours discoveries 😸
It is very interesting, because I was taught in school that the primary colors are magenta, cyan, and yellow, and my entire life I have been told that I am wrong, people look at me like I am saying something weird, like telling them that I was taught that there are 7 instead of the correct answer, which is 5 or 6 (wait a second...).
Then there are the people who say that I was taught "printer theory".
Then I thought that most people are actually taught just RGB because we were starting in the digital revolution, and that was most important, so even for painting in class, they used additive systems for all their art, while my teachers showed me substractive and additive systems separately, because we painted a lot with a acrylics.
Anyway, I am happy that my school and my HS teacher actually showed me a better version of the primary colours, and I am happy that now I understand why some people were taught the primary colours were red, blue, and yellow.
Finally a rational description of color.
This is the next level! Brilliant mind and so generous in sharing. I am new to painting and really appreciate the addition of the tube colors, wow! Thank you!
Thanks soooo much for providing these resources! I went to art school years ago and thought (perhaps arrogantly) I don't need these, I KNOW these....but wow, it does make a difference!
Thank you Florent. Your color wheel is so great and easy to follow. Thank you so much for the great work.
Thank you Florent, great explanation of your system. You put so much into this! 🏆
Fabulous as always! Thanks Florent 🙏🌟
WHat is really great about your system is that you have connected it to actual pigments. It's frustrating to learn about colour theory and then realise that in practice you need to compromise based on the pigments available. Having the pigments placed on the colour wheel makes it much easier to put into practice.
❤This is the best tutorial for beginners on colour theory ❤
Excellent. Thank you.
Thank you very much. That was excellent. I wish you and your family a safe and tranquil Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
Another wonderful presentation. Hearing you speak in English, which is my primary language, always makes me feel inadequate! I only know about 20 French words ....... 😁
This is incredibly useful. Thank you!
Much love. X
Thank you so much for your colour wheel! Great video. I have been looking for something just like this!
Super presentation for color theory of printing
Nice video! I havent thought about mixing the rgb and cmy systems before, i just learned something new. Thanks a lot. As for me, i teach and follow Josef Albers, David Hornung’s and Mark Carder,s methods, but also my intuitive choices of colors. As you said, a method is helpful but our perceptions come first.
Merci Florent 😊
Thank you brother
Impressive. Thanks for this video.
Thank you Very much, bro
I was trying to make similar system like you but it was overwhelmed.
I like munsell, however, it is not practical to be used.
Your system is probably the best I've seen so far.
Great material, clearly explained and packed with fundamental clarifications, such as the limitations for mixing paint when using any of the systems. I use Munsell to control values and the RYB model for hue and chroma mixing, but always referring to Munsell for the final visual result. Watching this video has given me the curiosity to explore others. Thank you, Florent!
My pleasure, glad it was helpful!
thank you so much
very nice video
Great video 💞🎨🎨🎨 thank YOU very very much 🙏🙏😊
Makes very much sense to me, thank you! I will try it out practically =)
Great, let me know how it goes then !
Its good that it is what I was deducing….that I wasnt missing an important key…..I can relate better now and dont feel like I must be missing something. Thanks.
You're welcome 😊
Great video dear friend. Keep it up.👍👍 Stay connected always
Oh perfect for me and my brain. If i dont get it ALL I dont seem to get anything….or something like that
Perfect 😊 !!!
RED is already contaminated with yellow to be able to slide into the blues. PRINTERS, all things printed use CYAN, MAGENTA and YELLOW...and black. not all colors can still be printed from this either but it's a good start.
You are like handprint, but make it CZcams.
I choose the following:
Pyrrole red, quinacridone magenta, pthalo emerald, benz yellow, ultramarine, pthalo blue (would use pthalo cyan if it was still a thing), transparent oxide red and yellow, dioxazine purple and last but not least; gold. Just cause I like it.
Hi Florent,
What would you recommend for a 6 years old kid to start with? My son loves painting and drawing and is very talented but I don’t know how to guide him or what I should do so he can develop his talent.
Kind regards,
Angel
What are your thoughts on the Natural Color System? I see you've included it in the overview, but not discussed it in your video? :-)
Do you acknowledge sienna, ochre and umber as the tertiary colors?
How about a physical printed set you could sell?
Hate it when people lie to me but really hate it when other artists lie to me
Your poster is brilliant. I only wish it had the skin tone wheel as well. I have not been able to find one anywhere. It is perhaps the most used one.
Actually, there is a skin tones wheel in the full pdf. Can't give all the resources for free, hope you understand. 😅
@@FlorentFargesarts yes. I quite agree..I did purchase your color wheel download. It was fabulous. I ordered the wheel poster. Excellent quality. I only wished the skin wheel was included on the poster or in a separate poster. Love your videos and thank you!
"Desire to fit a chosen contour, such as the pyramid, cone, cylinder or cube, coupled with a lack of proper tests, has led to many distorted statements of color relations, and it becomes evident, when physical measurement of pigment values and chromas is studied, that no regular contour will serve."
- Albert H. Munsell
How often do you post to Patreon? Is the color theory course posted there?
No, the color course is a separate thing but Patrons get a discount. 😄
Why you took PBk9 and. PBr7. ?????
Ivory seems like complementory but what about burnt umber????
There are spelling mistakes on the color wheel PDF.
thanks for video and pdf sir. your color course's cost is €84.90 but in my country minimum wage is 265 euro. too expensive for us so we cannot purchase it. :/
The trouble with munsell is that in shades , Nature doesn't add black to things.
Can you add the subtitles to the vedeo
I just went to your website and there’s no free version.
NCS is the best system sry to say
Very nice videos…. But u keep repeating FREE color wheel!! But is not the case… anyhow… Merci.
It is, I have two versions: one is completely free without any email required or subscription of any kind (link: www.florentfarges.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Color-Theory-for-Artists-Color-Wheel-System-1.pdf ) and the elaborate version with the tutorials including extra resources is indeed for sale.
Please forgive me I found it
I’ll stick with Alpay Effe …. He doesn’t try to scam people thanks
Is this a bait and switch scam ?
