Seems like the easiest place in the world to steal from. Not sure how that will work.

The future says if you get caught stealing you will be thrown into re- education camp or lose points on the Social credit score app until you are a non- human. Notice , no humans... just a shopper.

@@youngevityplantminerals4304 to enter it appears your device has to be linked (including a credit card) if you steal they'll simply charge the card.

This only works with honest people. The entrance isn't tailgate proof. This place will get RAIDED harder than a Clash of Clan base. It be cool to see an app where you enter your order, walk up to the store, and a robot slides it out on a tray.

interesting: how does it work with proof of vacination, masks and such? also: she scanned something to enter the store: is it an app?

Well this is a new kind of idea for the island for sure. I love the idea that it is 24 hours. I had a 24 hour grocery store near my home in st.leonard, which was brilliant, but with covid they had to cut the hours down. I think 24 hour locations should be more popular. They serve the clientele in a more open and convenient way by being operational at all hours (even if it is may be only partially operational). Of course with this location, time will tell how well it will operates without a staff member present. Theft and clean up is what I think about being problematic. But yeah 24 hours is a super good idea. People should not have to be limited (within reason) to what is accessible to them just because of what hour of the day is it. Workers have different schedules and we see this more and more often. Plus it can stimulate more job opportunities at all hours of the day. But of course, in this case, no real job opportunities here. So I guess, maybe not so supportive on that end.

Countdown til a homeless person tailgates into the store and takes whatever they want 😂
Also: what happens when the cash crashes or an item doesn’t scan? Especially at 3am.
Surely you will have a 24/7 support line… right? ;)

Overstatement saying it without staff knowing you meed to refill the tablet. Also like other said how will you prevent people from stealing and what if someone need assistance like grandparents?

What keeps people from just not scanning everything? I think Apple or Google or someone has one where consumers just grab and go ... and the technology knows who they are what they have taken. You could have face recognition, fingerprints or retina scans at the entrance. In terms of CCoovviidd, this could potentially only let one person (or a limited number) in at a time. I also think it would be a good idea to add a security guard who watches that everyone scan everything ... and can lock the door and call the police at the touch of a button or by saying a key word.

  • @rationalpickle

Maybe add a security guard or two...

Je l'ai essayé l'autre jour. Rien de spécial, les prix sont aussi élevés que dans un dépanneur ordinaire. Les moins de 18 ans ne peuvent pas entrer vu qu'il faut une carte de crédit.
