I wish there was a more helicopter like version of this bicopter...a constant speed, dual rotor with collective and cyclic pitch like a helicopter. Like CH-47 Chinook, but sideways. This would provide for autorotation to land and a bigger motor mounted in the fuselage.

I am converting an old toy into a bi copter. I have a few questions. Do I need propellers that turn in the opposite direction? Also, what is a good flight controller to use? Thanks

Yes you need opposite direction propellers, naze32 also supports bi copter firmware and it's better than kk board
