Yeezy 350 V2 Review - What's inside Yeezy 350s? What is Ultraboost foam? What is Ultraknit? We are going to answer those questions and completely torture a pair of yeezys by cutting them in half to see what's inside and if they live up to all the 2018 hype. Many sneakerheads consider ultra boost to be the most comfortable foam for sneakers so we are going to test these yeezy 350 V2s with fire, water, and knife to find out the truth about if yeezys are good shoes.

Hey! I dunno if i had anything to do with this but i suggested cutting these and getting your take on em. I absolutely love my Yeezys. My first pair I ran to the ground and they held up very well for 3 years. I did landscaping in them and they were my only shoes for that whole time. Never had an issue with odor or rips and tears. I guess if anything, the sole did start to flake away but again, thats after years of wear. Boost is beyond amazing and i will always br a champion for it. I understand the price is a little high but it had to be for Kanye to start to sell them. The hope is that after his contract with Adidas ends, they will be more accessable. "Yeezys for everyone"

As someone who’s been buying the Adidas Yeezys since 2015, the one thing I hate about the 350 V2s is that cage around the toes. I understand it’s there so the knit won’t overstretch and lose its shape, but sometimes after wearing the shoe 10+ hours you start feeling it in your toes.

I got the oreos in recently after only wearing the mono 350v2s (which are fine) and that toe cage seems like it's going to be a sweat trap. Sure it's vented but I don't want a slick plastic cage over my toes when I'm going for that breathable sock/slipper feeling. Has that been a problem for you or just that they're a bit cramped?

The only part of these that I find interesting is like you said the resemblance to ancient shoes. There is a school of thought coming back around where softer, stretchier materials are better for the feet ( see victorian era shoe styles also). The only issue currently getting in the way of it becoming a more common thing is that brands like this are selling them for price points that do not match the reality of minimalist design.

I've worn my 350 V2s pretty frequently over the past two years, and haven't had any issues with the primeknit failing or moisture in the midsole. The primeknit is so breathable that you don't really sweat when you wear them, so they seem to stay pretty fresh. They would absolutely fall apart if you did anything that was hazardous for your shoes, but from regular wear around the city, mine still look and feel great.

@@makatron I haven't noticed any degradation of the sole, boost is pretty awesome for not getting compacted with wear. The biggest concern for wear, in my opinion, is the shell around the boost at the heel. If you drag your heels, you will burn through that pretty quickly, and the boost will be fully exposed and break down. I don't drag my heels and haven't had this problem, but it's probably the biggest design flaw if you're wearing them normally.

Can you do a video comparing men's and women's work boots from 1 or 2 brands?
I’ve heard from a few women that women's work boots are less durable compared to mens. It would be interesting to see if there’s a notable difference between quality/durability when it comes to work boots. Like comparing Redwing’s TRACTION TRED LITEs (Style 3537 and Style 2442), which are 259.99 for men and 269.99 for women. Is the price difference because the women’s boot is marked as puncture resistance, or are we paying more for the same boot.

I delivered pizza in a pair of 350 v2s for about a year. I blew holes in the sides of the prime knit on both shoes, and wore the outsole down completely bare on the front half of the right one (drivers foot), and put holes in the in-soles from where my toes would sit. I wore them rain, sun, snow, mud, didn’t matter, I have completely submerged them up to my ankles multiple times and basically waded through a river once during a particularly downpoury night. I wanted to see how they would hold up. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were throughout the entire process even up till the end, at some point I ditched the laces since they are basically for show anyway and after the year of 10 hr shifts 5 days a week my feet never hurt, I never got blisters, never had any hot spots or anything. They definitely are worn, and as I mentioned there are holes on the sides but if I really wanted to I could still throw those on and go to work.

I think if you're looking for comfort you would get from the Yeezy 350 v2s, maybe pick from the large selection of boost shoes Adidas offers like the ultraboost, solar boost, etc. What's awesome is you can find ultraboost often for around $100... The cheapest Yeezy 350 on my size 11 goes for 250 and above on stockx and goat... I love the solar boost a bit more than the ultraboost because the upper is built more like a traditional running shoe...like having gussetted tongue, comfy mesh or techfit upper, and light stability features with the guide rails on the sides. Standard boost primeknit is way more comfortable. Worst thing about boost is the white mid soles look scabby after a few weeks wear-especially the inner heel area; black or coloured boost foam looks better for longer.
4D's are also great-not as comfortable as boosts-but the 3d printed mid soles would be well worth cutting in half for a look .

I once wore them to the office on a day it snowed so heavy the buses were cancelled and I had to walk about 9 miles home through snow in them. Water got in between the harder exterior rubber and the boost foam and froze and expanded and f**ked them up. The harder rubber hit was ok but the foam crumbled on the sole so I ended up using them like slippers at home. The 380’s are a bit more sturdy but if you have wide feet the cage bit at the forefoot to help them keep their shape isn’t as comfortable after a few hours of wearing plus the padding just inside the heel is unnecessary.

That is a lot less compared to other designer markups that are present in the sneaker community.

Plastic shit made from plastic bottles for high price. Manufacture price is around 5 to 10 dollars. And you buy this shit from resselers for 300 euro and higher prices. I don't even know why this hype is around this shoes because this are only plastic socks with midsole nothing more. If this shoes was designed from someone not famous like kenye west noone would wants them in my opinion.

LOL. You're the guy that says, "a wAtCh oNLy hAS $5 wOrTh Of mETaL. iT sHoULdN'TcOsT $1k. ReEeEeEE." Learn what it costs to manufacture a product, with all the costs included. (Employees not involved in the manufacturer, mortgages, taxes, insurance, etc. You can always tell when someone isn't a business owner. That's why you'll always be punching a clock.

There is no reason to hate on no hype boost shoe models. Boost foam is more comfortable( soft, energy return ) than standard eva foam. Primeknit is more stretchy and breathable than mesh.
Even the yeezy is something you buy as a rare fashon piece, so obviously wont be vievied as worth for people whi do not care about word of designers and limited editions.

And then you realise that the costs you mentioned apply to every shoe maker out there. Yet, in most cases the gap between materials and pricing is far smaller. Unless these things are made by hand, which I very much doubt, manufacturing costs aren't going to be very high. There's not a whole lot going on in terms of design either.
There's a difference btween judging products based only on the price of their materials and realising that nothing in the product itself justifies the pricing. In the end this is just a game of supply and demand, with a generous sprinkling of artificial exclusivity and a dash of FOMO.

It would be interesting to see a video with podiatrist or physical therapist who could tell how good or bad the different types of soles are for your body. To hear their opinion on the shapes and materials used.

All hype sneakers are all: hype, zero quality. Sneaker heads don't like to hear it. I was one of them that was reluctant to accept it, but big companies are laughing at all of us while we pay 200 plus for a sneaker that isn't even worth 40 of materials.

I’m with you here. I’ll never ever get the whole sneakerhead thing. All these sneakers seem like such wasteful, plasticky, tacky looking garbage. Built to end up in a landfill after a month of wear.
A pair of good quality goodyear welted boots, some sturdy trail running shoes, and maybe some rubber rain boots is all most people will need to comfortably walk around in all kinds of different weather types, terrains and activities for years without needlessly buying more poorly made shoewear every few weeks...

Boost foam is more comfortable than standard eva foam which is more comfortable than any boot. For walking around the city and doing electrical engineering indoors in production halls some hard cusioned heavy boots are last thing j need.

The Yeezys are some of the ugliest shoes that have ever been made. Look at the side profile. There is nothing aesthtic about it. They're way over priced. Asics make quite a few models that look much better and come in better colors, and are less than $200.
