I had wanted a Hyatt card for some time but am usually over 5/24. I was able to get the $350 offer + 5k spend when I booked a Hyatt Regency for five nights in Yogyakarta last December. I was very happy to get the WOH card and as a Globalist had a fantastic suite upgrade at HR Yogyakarta. This hotel is a resort with a golf course, five pools, four restaurants, and a very attentive staff. It is one of my favorite hotel stays ever.
Yeah I just got an expensive night in Boston area (braintree) for 14,500 points for 2 nights. The cash price was $870 for 2 noghts. I'll definitely take the points because if these anomolies. Ill pay cash when its cheap and points when nights are ridiculously expensive.
great video, $200 hotel credit is also stackable the majority of the time with a hotel status, had that happen in Montreal, got Hilton perks of $ and also FHR perks. also one big perk is the Medical Evac no matter what the cost. I hope never to have to use it but it is worth something in my mind knowing we are protected as we travel with kids.
I cancelled my plat in 2022. Watched through this video, but still not seeing $700 value on this card. On the other hand, WellsFargo's new ecosystem is interesting. Thanks for the show.
Great content as always with so many different topics covered! My annual renewal coming up for Platinum card. Thinking about keeping only if get nice retention bonus. Any tips on how to get great retention bonus? Also, what’s that tool/link for findingFHR rates?
Just accepted a globalist fast track challenge thru a unique partnership with my employer end even coming up with 20 nights having a cat 1 near me was still pretty rich for my blood, at least considering how expensive Hyatts are on the west coast and no specific international trips planned at regions known to give good mid-upscale Hyatt value but it was too intriguing not to try. I could see doing mattress runs at the Rio Las Vegas for maintaining globalist though. Still 60 nights a year 😬
@@getsugatenshoFTW The card is more of a domestic flex card. None of the credits are usable internationally except FHR. A car doesn't become premium because they market it as such.

I did it last year 19 nights at a Hyatt Regency in Mérida México. Got Hyatt globalist for 2 years also a bunch of points.
The AMEX Platinum is trash. How is it even considered a premium credit card?
