Amanda probably thought that for the train wreck that Alison is/was, Brooke is far worse than Alison.
And one of the many ironies of that scene was that Alison was standing at the altar with her two future husbands, Hayley, then Jake, but she didn't know it then 😮.

Billy and Alison were made for each other. They suited each other very well. Why didn't they get married? why didn't their love stand the test of time? Why was Billy married several times, but never to Alison? Why was Alison married several times, but never to Billy? Why are writers stupid? They separated Billy and Alison, Jake and Jo and other eligible couples (((only Peter and Amanda (thank god) were reunited in the finale
Because if it was all happy happy with everyone working out with who they should be with, there would be no drama, so no show.
I will never understand as well
because Keith loved her very much. I liked it better when she was with Keith in season 1.

I know right, on BH90210 David and Donna was the it couple, on Melrose Place Billy and Allison was the it couple to me and should have married and lived happily ever after.

Billy knew how wrong this marriage was. He was always such a moron.
At least Brooke really loved Billy. That's all that matters in my book. He didn't have to go through a bunch of hell to try and be with her. And she would of never left him. He was a fool to leave her. He ended up with nobody in the end.

Because she attended the wedding ceremony knowing perfectly well that Alison was still in love with Billy.☹And at that time Jane and Alison were still closed friends. 😕
