      Exactly. Us old guys, I'm 73, must stay busy to stay healthy. I have four old trucks, a car, a house, a shop and a yard. Always plenty to do.

      @@alanprather8399 I think profession plays a part too. My dad is a retired cop and he's been sitting on the couch since 1998, collecting checks for 3/4ths of his old pay and complaining about socialism and how kids today are lazy.

      I have a winch on my gooseneck trailer, it is strong enough to pull a dead tractor up the ramps, it has been a savior many times. At the end of the video, your Dad was able to get the tractor to roll by shifting the transmission collars, that will make moving the tractor a lot easier in the future.

    A THT! (Tractor hauling trip)......Your dad and I are roughly the same age and like him, I never figured out how I had time to go to work 😂. I have friends in their 80s that are still going strong; wrenching and collecting old iron. One friend just finished building a rat rod at 87! So, keep it up Wes's dad, and mount a winch on your trailer Wes!

    Back in 2012 I bought a ih 706 gas that didn't run at consignment auction. I hauled it home on the same type of trailer and truck setup you have, except mine had a 460. Still have the tractor and truck. Tractor needed a piston and the head gone through. I pulled the air filter out and it was stamped 1986, so I cleaned it and put it back in to this day. Tractor and truck still run good! Fun times

    I enjoy watching you work with your father. Wish i was still able to do so. Mine passed away 2 months shy of his 50th birthday. Treasure the time you have even if you don’t always see eye to eye on everything.

    Many thanks for showing the recovery at the beginning. Not only do we hear that the tractor was sitting for a long time, but you show us too. The land was trying to reclaim that tractor judging by the depth it had sunk into the earth. Anyway, it provides us with some history and prologue and that is always interesting.

    That was a pretty calm video loading the tractor and accessories. My dad, years ago would have been throwing stuff and yelling at everyone within a 1/4 mile radius. He has calmed down a lot, Ahh. The good old days. Thanks for the Videos, Wes. It looks like a project.

    Good on your dad for staying active.
    My neighbor who I believe is 80 now tried to retire 8 years ago. He just couldn’t stand staying home so he went back to antique shopping and helping people move their stuff.
    I myself will keep driving till they pry my cold dead hands from the steering wheel. Joking aside I will stop if and when I feel it’s unsafe, at some point we all should give up driving.
