I think this scene is beautiful... It shows Bas's vulnerabilily and Marco's protectiveness to Bas and how they comfort each other. They feel like home being side by side.

One of, if not THE most powerful films about abuses in the BL film industry of all time--its legacy is already legendary. Writer/Director Aam is proving that change CAN be accomplished when trying to find justice, and the reason l follow him is that he almost always has LOVE at the core of his works. Mindsets--and therefore society's--CAN be swayed...but only if enough courageous people like Aam stand up and speak their truth. The beach scene where Bass and Marco both properly connected to eachother possibly for the first time, then Bass's nightmare where he was replaying that particular encounter but with his own self-disbelieving imagination steering it always sticks in my mind. There are so many parts in this series where the story could have taken a totally different direction but thankfully didn't.

I feel like series such as
CIWYW and Lovely Writer are underrated but such great series.
They both show how dark the entertainment industry can be, eople being abused, exploited, producers sleeping with actors, directors blackmailing actors, how people will cover up others dirty work because of how famous they are.
How quickly a person can be blacklisted or even become suicidal because of trauma and hot higher upside might try to force you to sleep with them; be it for a role or in general.
With lively writer they show how toxic some of these BL writers and fans can be .
How shipping can harm people, bow some actors try to hard and end up making their co stars uncomfortable.
Gene spent his entire time being forced to hurry up and not only finish his novel but to make it has non consent, lots of sex and just toxic as a whole .
His dad didn't support him being gay but inky because he used to love a man but it didn't work out so he wa seeing protective over him.

Showbiz has always been toxic, especially to those starting out, but BL was a special kinda toxic. The industry try to sweep all this under the carpet. Even today, there are people who don't know what couch auditions are.
I'm really happy to witness someone strong enough and brave enough to tell this story.

It could be interpreted as a combination of commit and métive (French, adjective feminine) which means "vieilli" and in English translation means old-fashioned. Thus commetive could mean traditional commitment or a traditional committed relationship.
The film stresses emotional intimacy and bonding more than sexual intimacy and bonding, yet both love and sex are needed in balance for a satisfying, long-term relationship.
