  • This is week 8 of the 100 days of surfing series! I made it over halfway through surfing everyday for 100 days, and decided this would be a good week to show you my quiver and the surfboards that have taken me from beginner to intermediate longboarding, and now into mid lengths! I am a huge fan of @Almond_Surfboards, and have personally purchased 6 of their boards, so I am really excited to partner with them on this video. I have had amazing experiences with their boards and with the people at Almond, so go check them and their beautiful boards out! Let me know which of these surfboards are you favorites!

Obsessed with Almond boards as well! Have a lumberjack and just picked up a Sano Special. How would you describe the ride of a Lumberjack vs Sano Special? Just curious on your thoughts.

Personally I felt like the sano was a little more laid back and less “accurate” if that makes sense? Mine was a bit bigger and the tail made it fun and very fluid to turn but harder to manage on bigger waves for me. How do you like yours??

@@saltynat I’ve found the Sano to be the most fun in small 1-2ft cruisy waves and for practicing foot movement. The extra volume is surprisingly noticeable and makes the paddle out a bit of a beast on big days haha. I tend to bury the nose a bit more on Sano too which i assume is from less rocker. I’m a newish surfer and didn’t think the difference between Lumberjack and Sano would be as noticeable as it has been, but been fun learning and experimenting. Appreciate the feedback on your experience!

Thanks Will! Yeah my bank account keeps my quiver in check haha, they are worth it though and they just make me so happy. The beach chicken is such a cool board! If you’re going to be rich in something I guess surfboards are not a bad choice 🤷🏽‍♀️

Now when you own all three longboards which one would you have bought coming of a foamie? Still the same order?

I think it depends on where you like to surf and your preferences, but I think the lumberjack is a really good first longboard! It's such a classic it will give you a great base for any other longboards you want to try in the future. I also think the Sano Special was a really easy to transition to board. The walks on water is really stable and nice if you feel you want a lot of volume, but might feel like a lot of board to get used to from a foamie.
