I had jaw surgery and they used coral material as the grafting skeletal framework onto which my bone regenerated. Imagine the things that we allow to perish without knowing their present and future usefulness. protect the oceans.
I had spinal surgery using titanium and my body does NOT like the metal. I'd hate to think of what it would do if they had used coral. My body would probably chew me up and spit me out. It really hates foreign materials

Always welcome to come for a spear down in Perth if you want, also that isn’t coral spawn killing the fish, the coral spawn is what the fish feed on. It is mixed in with blue-green algae which some contains toxins that will kill marine organisms. Unfortunately the only thing you could try to do is churn it up to dilute the density but not really worth the effort in the grand scheme of things, the algae will eventually run out of nutrients to grow and starve and die off itself.
I’m a 3rd year uni student studying marine and freshwater biology for the record.
