- How many deliveries can you take in a day 😂😂😂 Ireland comes to Cumbria in the form of troughs cubicle mattresses from mayo, why we went for these and a demo of the worst mattress of all time and why this very popular brand made us look elswhere and at the mattresses we chose despite their being no grant aid on them and there being a huge contribution towards the rubbish ones we still didn’t choose them!! Use our mistakes as your own and choose wisely! Heifers PD to check for no calves before they are sold as a precaution as we don’t want any comebacks in a few months time.
in 2009 i had no experience of farming or the realities that came with it. That soon changed when I met my other half Roy, I had a job as a carer and in every spare moment threw myself into farming. I had only ever driven a Nissan Micra and had experience with horses, I learnt the hard way as nobody had the time to show me and soon after arriving I found myself mothering on calves to three quarter bred limmy cows. We spent every available moment on the farm between our day jobs. Fast forward to 2016 two children later we moved into our very own farm overlooking the northern Pennines, Laitha.
we are in a transitional period at present and will finally be milking cows and making the final switch later this year, after years of planning and implementing infrastructure we will be milking 120 Jersey cows on two Lely robots. This will be a huge change and a steep learning curve

I am overjoyed to be a farmer. I feel so fortunate every day to wake up and do what I love and even better share it with the world and hope it inspires more young people from Preston to spread their wings and think outside the box the world doesn’t need more childcare workers or hairdressers it needs more farmers.

Hi Charlotte, the tyre stuff is amazing, especially put in a bobcat tyre with the sheargrab on. All your cattle are looking good and it great you are letting the red bull go to friend. Now the cubicles can be finished after receiving the correct rails and you can sort out the mattresses for the cows. What is with your sheep, there must have a leader who encourages them to break out, maybe they want more feed. It's was a good plan to trim the trees down the lane to stop any more damage to the trees and the lorries. The concreters and builders will be back soon to get the robots and walls closer to being finished. Waiting for the next instalment. Chris from Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺.

Great video as usual, question regarding the oil flow issue, the bobcat is always at high revs so will pump more oil, does the merlo not have the dump pedal(next to brake) press that, increase revs, higher oil flow. Might be worth a try

Don’t know if it helps with your postcode delivery problem but what three words has been a game changer for us.
We use it for drainage issue spots and repairs but I’m pretty sure you could get the 3 for the bottom of your lane to get a lorry right to you.
We actually sold our quick release drinkers that were in one winter and put Condons tip over drinkers in like what’s in our other sheds. Far better drinkers for cleaning out. Unfortunately we have the Wilson mattress in, 300 cubicle spaces of it.

Well girl, you have really helped the Irish mattress ( cow) guys tonight, since both easifix and mayo are both Irish companies, but I don’t disagree with you either product is streets ahead of their competitors! You might as well know that if you are going to be “ Irish “ you probably wouldn’t be called Charlotte as Cathal is our version of Charles and the female equivalent is Cait which for the English out there is pronounced completely differently to what you guys would expect ! so when do you anticipate the cows coming. to my mind your sheep are in the fields your cows will be needing for grazing. my mother always said sheep and dairy cows don't go together cos the lush green grass the cows milk well on is also the stuff sheep like and your going to be wanting to do your first cut of silage early may in order to make good quality silage.......always got to be thinking ahead in farming
Yes that is good stuff! Heavy grass cutting machinery and verge cutters fill their tyres with it to prevent deflation in areas were the glorious public disperse their rubbish.

I think it might be fair to say that some products gain acceptance because they are best at a period but officialdom takes years to catch up. I don’t know if that applies here!
It’s great stuff I can imagine it would work well for fleets of vehicles especially in areas like that. Yes it’s a shame a lot of people will have been persuaded down that avenue and they really aren’t up to scratch yes they have bullocks on so are obviously wet for a different reason but to be sort of furry and hold water seems a crazy thing to endorse by the government

Irish company have the best test done look at jfc mayo easy fix condon engineer u just can’t beat it because it built around farm yea guys should come to irl on a visit and see robots in working with framer with abc grazing and get some advice from that have been in u shoes there a farm near me here be a great experience and family farm too 🇮🇪🇮🇪🐄🇮🇪

The other single mattresses aren’t porous AT ALL so that wouldn’t happen with either easifix or mayo matts it is just an impossibility
