  • Have you ever wondered why your cat loves to sleep with you? Is it just for warmth, or is there something more to it? In this video, we're going to have a really lovely look at the world of feline-human relationships and try to understand the meaning behind your cat's sleeping position. We've all been there. Your cat is curled up on top of you, snuggles beside you, or you've even wondered, "Why doesn't my cat sleep with me?" Well, we're here to help! It's so lovely when we understand our cats' sleep preferences! It can really show us a lot about our bond and emotional connection with our furry friends.
But before you get all cosy, we're also going to chat about why it's probably best not to sleep with your cat in certain situations. It's not always a great idea for your cat to share a bed with you, especially if they have any health concerns or behavioural issues. If you've ever found yourself wondering why your cat wants to sleep with you, or why they sleep with you and not their partner, this video is for you! We'll be unravelling the mystery of why your cat chooses that specific spot night after night. So hit that play button and let's dive in!

We have 7 cats that sleep with us every night. Those purr boxes are the best white noise

My cat waits until I’m comfortable in bed & then she jumps up & massages my right shoulder until she thinks I’ve fallen asleep.
She then listens to my breathing before she cozies in by my head. This is a nightly ritual for her & really for us both.❤

My cat likes to sleep on my chest, or neck. Sometimes he likes to sleep above my head as well.

Our cat sleeps on my pillow in the winter or tucks himself against one of our bent knees.
It's been really hot, he stretches out on the ledge in front of the window AC in the living room. At night, depending on how warm it still is, he sleeps at my feet or on the dresser in front of the bedroom AC.

Kittens sleep in heaps with their litter mates because kittens throw off A LOT of body heat while they sleep. By piling up they conserve heat.

I'm worried about people rolling around in their sleep, and crushing their cats, especially big people with kittens. This is all so why babes are kept in cribs, instead of sharing their parent's bodf

I am a large person. My Siamese, Baby, had kittens. She and they stayed in birthing box until they were 4 weeks old then she brought them into bed with me, I never squashed one. She did the same thing with all four of her yearly litters.

I would be too scared to risk it. I'm already tossing & turning in my sleep, waking up to things on the floor, and my headphones plugged out, even when they weren't on my head. One thing to note, it is a one person bed. Not a king or queen.

All of my pets have slept with me. Hubby and I even had a house rabbit that slept with us. We could tell that it was going to be really cold when she'd get underneath the covers in-between us. Miss her. The cat sleeps with us, I've never worried about something like this.
