  • How do you define Gourdlandia as a place? Well. Located in Ithaca, NY, Gourdlandia is part farm, part art studio, and part workshop. Graham Ottoson, known as the “Gourd Lady”, is the gourd artist at the helm of this wondrous garden, and has dedicated her life to growing and transforming gourds into staggering pieces of art. Watch the full video as Dylan Thuras heads to Gourdlandia to immerse himself in the sheer delight that makes up the art center, and keep watching to see gourd marionettes, gourd masks, and of course, gourd lamps. It’s the Gourd Place, after all.

Show the process of drying the gourds. It is crazy how much water comes out of them and how the gourds change as the process proceeds.
