@@MistaAlon Maybe you forgot to mention that before the war more than millions of Palestinians were first driven from their land after the British left. Which caused refugees and therefore war.
You really thought they fought for nothing. Farmers were going to lose their jobs and their land to Jews who are mainly Europeans.
And question, since the Zionist state was supposed to be a project to be forgiven for anti-Semitic massacres by Europeans, why not give them European lands?
Besides, I'm sorry, who in the world would be happy to see a state created on land that belongs to you? It's as if I were asking the USA to create a country in the middle of Brazil for the Iraqis because they went to war on the basis of a lie. Do you think the Brazilians will agree?

I am a muslim, and saudi arabia, Quatar and other countries like that just make me wanna puke, i hate them. These are really shitholes. I life in germany and here if u say anything against israel u are anti-semitic. But what i am saying is Hamas is terrible, Israel is way worse, to be able to get peace (NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM) just for peace, you have to take out the Israel millitary and politic firat, because they are the bigger terrorist organisation, after that, you take out Hamas, and split the country half half, and have rules to provide attacking each other.
Because if you take out hamas first, there is literally nothing which can fight against israel on a military lv, from the palestinian side, which would cause israel to massacre the leftover palestinians and just take over gaza.
The issue why west world isnt seeing it that way is, because Israel is imposing as a Country, but they do terrorist acts for decades, and the west dosent care. While also israel is the only non muslim place down there, the west dosent want to lose any teritorial aspects in there and surrender all to muslims. Its such a disgrace as a human being to call israels actions self-defense. Same with china and the uygurs, also my ancestors, getting slaughtered... no one cares, i feel deep upsetness in my heart, with all these happening. ty for everyone who is supporting, and sorry for the rant

I'm an atheist and I was at the Palestinian Solidarity March a couple of weeks ago.
I wouldn't want to live under a Muslim, Christian or Jewish regime.
However, this is about ordinary citizens undergoing a horrific assault.
My great grandmother and grandfather survived the holocaust. My mother in 1967 was attacked by a group of French men and they carved a swastika into her back which covers her entire back, so I am fully aware of the assault on people for no good reason.
And I find the use of the holocaust by Israelis repugnant- they seem to think that because something bad happened years ago they can keep using it as a justification for the atrocities they are committing. I have second cousins in Israel and they have this far right zionist views - which is why I haven't spoken to them in years.

I would just like to say that Israel having a religious right to Gaza is objective. And NOWHERE else in the world should we hold religious right to land as credible. AND even if we were to go along with the claim that Jews have a religious right to the land, Jews were living in Palestine for thousands of years many converted to Christianity, many converted to Islam, and many obviously preserved their Jewish faith. And right up until 1948 with the Declaration of the "State of Israel" where 1 million Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their land, with reports of thousands of massacres all throughout Palestine, there were STILL many Arab Jews living there which are the Jews that had been historically there for thousands of years. As Bassem pointed out the Zionist movement and the immigration of Jews from Europe, was just that, A European problem. And to somehow suggest that European Jews have a claim to Palestinan land is ludocrus.

I think you meant the right is subjective (not objective)? I am baffled by the number of abjectly false "statements" he made as the 3 pros and cons on both sides. It's like he listened to CNN, read some WP articles, threw in some US propaganda and claimed them as facts. His claim of skimming the surface is translation for staggering ignorance and a racist take (Israel didn't let the Palestinians flourish and Palestinians built a terror state....dude your bias is showing)
So religion is a basis for a right to displace and kill a nation, but when an Arab mentions holy wars, it's all whooaa? Don't the Muslims and Christians then have the same right to the land since they all stem from the same Abrahamic faith?
To claim that a group has a right to a land based on their religion and because they were there thousands of years ago is the height of hypocrisy for a bunch of Americans sitting in on land that Native Americans inhabited before them and had religious connections to.
If he had actually done any research he would have learned that every effort at peace and two state solution has been sabotaged by Israel since the very beginning. There was never any good faith intention at peace or a two-state solution. Israeli far right assassinated their own PM when he tried the two state solution in the 90s. The mass exodus plans of the Palestinians that are now being leaked are apparently a copy paste of the same plans from the 1960s that they never gave up on. I feel like my brain will break in two when trying to take in the number of lies Israel has made since 1967. They have denied every attack they started, constructed elaborate lied and only admitted to them when evidence from investigations gave them no other options. Up until last year they killed a journalist and lied about it.

One group’s trauma does not give them the green light to do a similar thing to others.
The Israeli government has been crystal fucking clear about their intentions. Especially Bibi. They don’t see the Palestinians as equal humans and they want them gone. They’ve been playing the long game and Oct. 7th was the excuse they were looking for to finish the job. Whether they flee to Sinai or die…they don’t care.
And this entire thing has fostered this gross sense of superiority in part of the Israeli population too. For literal decades zionist extremists have been having watch parties to celebrate the bombs going off in Gaza. Calling them animals that need to be exterminated.
This whole thing has never been about jews being persecuted. It’s just groups of men making power moves to assert dominance and comparing dick sizes…and opportunistic settlers taking advantage of the situation to go on their own little power trips.

So a population that keeps on growing from 1.2 mil in 1948 (700,000 of whom came between 1914-1948) to over 7.5 million is ethnic cleansing? Cus those are the numbers of the Arab population ”between the river and the sea”.
If so, the Jews don’t know how to do it so well…. You see, when an actual genocide against the Jews happened in 1939-1945, the population went down from nearly 16.75 million people worldwide. You know how many Jews live goats, more than 80 years after? 16.1 million. That’s a genocide.

obviously. the problem begins when zionists start weaponizing antisemitism into silencing anyone that doesn't agree with their policies. "you don't think what israel is doing is right? oh, so you want all jewish people to cease to exist!" which is something the state of israel and everyone who agrees with the genocide and ethnic cleansing its committing has been doing for years now and it's so deeply rooted into the western society and media. anything has become antisemitic in the last 3 weeks and it's making islamophobia run rampant in the western society (that's been demonizing muslims and arabs for over 2 decades now).

Also, you said this wasn't an issue about colonialism. I just want to point out that even Theodor Herzl, the father of modern zionism, himself described the idea of Israel as a colony. This was at the time when most people didn't really consider colonialism as something bad, though.

Also, the only Jewish member of the cabinet at the time (Edwin Samuel Montagu) opposed the declaration. The idea of the Balfour declaration was antisemitic. Arthur Balfour (who was the one pushing for the creation of a Jewish state) had described Jews as "an alien and hostile people" and he also sponsored legislation to keep Jewish refugees out of the UK.

Alex, I want you to put your attorney hat on. You say there is good and bad on both sides. Certainly there has been bad on both sides, but good, I don’t agree. If you meant good PEOPLE on both sides, I’m with you. However, the question is who has the power in the country? Israel. I don’t think anyone will dispute that. As far as accountability, when you are in a position of power, you’re responsible for your citizens and constituents. With that being said, in the beginning you said Israel has done good things: 1. Israel has a claim to the land. That is not considered a “good” thing. If that is your believe then that is simply historical fact. 2. The land which is held by the Palestinians is “the center of the Israeli religion”. When did this become about religion? The only time religion is mentioned is Orthodox Jews and you can see for yourself how they view the conflict. 3. They have a right to peace. I totally agree with you that all humans should have that right. Again, I don’t see any of these points as a “good” thing. My question is what “good” things has Israel done to/for the Palestinians to promote and maintain peace since 1948? I’m not asking as a “gotcha” question. I genuinely want to know what your findings are.

Just an important FYI - Israel isn't the governing body in Gaza since 2005, when Israel left Gaza in a one sided decision in order to gain peace.
In 2006 and 2007 Hamas were elected by the over 65% of the people in Gaza and since then, they killed members of the PLO and PA in order to keep control of the land.

    • @hammyzy
      @hammyzy Před 8 měsíci +6

@@sagipisti123 From this perspective, you are still too zoomed in to see the problem. Israel is still in control of the region. Hamas was elected to be a representative for the people, not rule the land. If they were in control like you claim, they would be able to build ports, freely travel to establish relationships with other nations, have an embassy, etc. I think we can all agree that if you are an elected official without the basic governing principles such as attending summits with other countries, you are not in charge. Side note, in order to even be alive when the election was held you would have to be 17 years old. Not to mention an additional conservative 15 years to actually be old enough to vote. So we are looking at roughly anyone aged 32 or older potentially voted during the 2006 election. If 50% of the population is under 17, and let’s assume another 25% from 17-32 years old, we’re left with 25% of the people currently there voting in the election. That does not include anyone who has been killed in the 17 years since the election. To say they were elected would be the same as telling American teenagers “well you guys voted for George W Bush”.

Answer - went building terror infrastructure. Why are the palestinians so poor? Answer - money went to the leaders pockets. Why are Hamas leaders not in Gaza? and are hiding in Qatar, Turkey and other muslim countries? I think that the current geopolitical situation is extremely demanding, weird, and nerve-wracking for most of us.
The leaders of the Collective West are playing with our lives, our future like little children who haven`t got a clue what is actually going on. They are using heavily loaded words without understanding their meaning and the consequences they may provoke and bring.
Those in power lack natural intelligence, true education, political and historical knowledge, rhetorical skills, negotiating skills, respect and empathy for others, humility, and wisdom.
They brought us to the edge of WWIII. And here we are, looking into the darkest pit of our lifetime.
They are killing innocent unarmed people, babies, and little children without any regrets or sorrow.
Right in the open, in front of our very eyes, Mass Murder is being committed and the US is financing it and the rest of the Collective West is watching and supporting it.
    NOBODY IS STOPPING IT!
That`s how Nazi Germany looked in the 1930s, and nobody said anything, did anything.
In the middle of the streets, innocent Jews, Jippsies, and invalids had been ridiculed, belittled, tortured, and beaten. All that under the laughing faces of many (not all) Germans.
When WWII finally ended, the whole world was asking how it could come to that.
Sons, daughters, and grandchildren have been asking for decades, "What did you do to help those poor people?"
Now it`s our turn to SAY SOMETHING, to DO SOMETHING!
Now is not the time TO BE QUIET!
At the very least, we should INFORM OURSELVES & LEARN MORE, just like you said!
And then, we should start ASKING (THE RIGHT) QUESTIONS and ACT ACCORDINGLY!

It also plays into the desperate need of every one of these despicable media personalities to want to appear as if they're on the "right side" of every controversial issue in history because they know they've always lacked basic morality when spewing "facts" on air. They know deep down the bs atrocities enabling "facts" they're broadcasting to millions of viewers in their massively influential positions are actually just biased opinions/interpretations of the wealthy people behind the camera signing these media personalities' paychecks, thus lining their pockets with millions of dollars in blood money.
The networks/hosts so desperately wants to portray an image that makes the audience they're subliminaly trying to influence feel as if they've always been on the right side of every topic so even if they've said some terribly consequential things in the past, calling them out on it in front of their audiences will automatically trigger a defensive reaction from the interviewer along with the executives behind-the-scenes (who are sometimes yelling directly into their earpieces to rebuke the interviewee's comments) then spin their words into a narrative that make the network/channel look "morally good". Then they quickly pivot to another topic before the audience can realize they just glossed over a ton of the negative, but factual and correct, things the interviewee just said about them.
In my opinion, the best way to breakthrough this is to do it exactly how Bassem did. Just agree with them and say "no, you're one of the good guys," to publicly ease their consciences in front of their audiences/viewers then let the audience stop and think for themselves whether or not the interviewer has been one of the "morally good" sources of information in the past before allowing them to half-heartedly counter your facts then pivot to a different topic, which seems to have become second-nature to some of the personalities including Piers.
The look on their faces after you agree with them instead of trying to argue is my favorite cause you can visibly see they aren't prepared for this and now need to let the speaker continue the dialogue they just unsuccessfully tried to interrupt. They always look like they need a moment to process what just happened and regain their thoughts 😂

hello. im a palestinian guy who has lived in the west bank n i do indeed have some experience about it all n know what exactly been happening. and just to let you know about the peace in west Jerusalem u talked about. the west bank agreed to it. however, israelis kept on jailing kids and people and still controlled all jerusalem and never left palestinians alone. i lived that experience and actually lost alot of family members bc of it. another thing i dont see the media talking about which is an event that happened recently where israel told gaza civilians to evacuate to the borders and proceeded to bomb them on the way there. this happened before they cut the food n the water on gaza.

It’s really not that deep. Arabs and Jews lived peacefully together in Palestine until the formation of the state of Israel and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians. This conflict is decades old but not thousands of years old.

@@nosmokejazwinski6297 This current conflict might be decades old, but the claims on the land are much older.. And as an outsider I feel like I can't make a fair judgement when both sides say "we're just defending ourselves" without trying to oversee the entire history and look into all the arguments both sides are making, which is a lot!

@@m.m.2310I would recommend you to google the Balfour Declaration (1917) to see how Britain gave away land that wasn't theirs to give to begin with.
I would also recommend you to read about the nakba (very important) to get an actual understanding of how long Palestinians have suffered. I think it's absolutely necessary to understand what people mean when they call this an ethnic cleansing.

    • @nosmokejazwinski6297
      @nosmokejazwinski6297 Před 8 měsíci

@@m.m.2310 Well, Jews didnt have any claim to Palestine for a long time up until relatively recently when the zionist movement started. even then, most religious jews opposed the idea because according to the Jewish faith they are not allowed to create a nation of their own. Ofc there were many different Empires and states claiming and conquering the area just like pretty much everywhere in th world. But the conflict between Arabs and Jews is a modern anomaly in the grand scheme of things.
If one side is actively genociding the other while keeping it besieged in an open air concentration camp for decades, it is clear that this is not self defense.

    • @102ndsmirnov7
      @102ndsmirnov7 Před 8 měsíci

Simply put the "entire history" doesn't matter. What matters currently is the conflict since the formation of the state of Israel. Israel has no claim to this land because it never previously existed as a state. Jewish people shouldn't need a state for themselves, they should be able to live among other religions just like other religions. They are capable of this as seen in so many countries around the world. The problem is the state of Israel and the fact it wants an ethnostate with nothing but Jewish people in it. It is not a muslims vs jews issue, it's the evil state of Israel vs people.@@m.m.2310
