My answer for Mr.senthil, who commented below, AAC blocks can be used only for non load bearing structure,( ie) used to fill blocks for structured frames, if you tend to use in load bearing, cracks will cause and it's because of low density.

If u construct AAC Block wall with AAC Dry Joint Mortar ..no need of water curing
But if u use normal cement mortar, you have to do water curing for the cement mortar in joints for minimum 10days

I watched one more video post by a company side itself but they said that it doesn't content any air bubbles like clay brick or fly ash brick so that it's breaking capacity is high and low osmosis is that true means it's heat transmission must be high

It has nearly 70 to 85% air bubbles, it can even float in water. The heat transmission is very low as a sun ray has to heat the inside air bubbles of AAC and after that pass it to the room air. Disadvantages are Plastering cracks may appear if not properly plastered.

*Brittle nature: they need to be handled more carefully than clay bricks to avoid breakage.
* Attachments: the brittle nature of the blocks requires longer, thinner screws when fitting cabinets and wall hangings and wood-suitable drill bits or hammering in. Special, large diameter wall plugs (aircrete anchor) are available at a higher cost than common wall plugs.

வீட்டு வெளிப்புறச் சுவர்(காம்பௌண்ட் சுவர் அல்ல) உட்பட எல்லா சுவர்களையும் 4" aac பிளாக் கொண்டு அமைக்கலாமா? எப்படியும் எடை முழுவதையும் column-beam structureதானே தாங்கப்போகிறது. அப்படி 4" சுவர் கொண்டு அமைத்தால் ஏதாவது பிரச்சினையா? உதாரணமாக எளிதில் திருடர்கள் வீட்டை இடித்து புகலாம் அல்லது இன்சுலேஷன் குறைவாக இருப்பதால் வெளி வெப்பம் உள்ளே வரும் -இதுமாதிரி ஏதாவது பிரச்சினை இருக்கிறதா? கட்டுவதற்கான இடம் குறைவாக இருப்பதால் 4" சுவர் அமைத்தால் எனக்கு வீட்டினுள் அதிக இடம் கிடைக்கும் என்பதால் இந்த சந்தேகம்.(விலையும் குறையுமே!)
At least 6” thick blocks would be better, to sustain with climatic conditions. Technically 4” is enough as you said.

Hi Senthil - You have said that there are lot of limitations in using AAC for Load bearing structure. My father has constructed a house using Load bearing structure and i wanted to add first floor to it. What are the things i should keep in mind if i wanted to use AAC? based on my reading about AAC, using AAC will definitely bring down the cost. Today's rate for normal construction for a simple house is around Rs. 1600 . ~ Rs1700 per 100 sq.ft. What would be the construction cost if we use AAC?
