Best internal gate mod is welding the flapper over the port and putting an external gate on the exhaust manifold

Both of you guys are right, sadly getting a external gate isn't as budget as a 30$ upgraded flap, and welding the housing is tricky I guess later down the road Juzzy would put a external gate on if he were to change the turbo

A tip for some people doing it without a workshop is use a magnet that's plastic wrapped or similar so it catches every bit of swarf and then is easily dumped in the bin by removing the plastic otherwise just a magnet will fill your fingers with death metal! Lol

10:32 Plenty of ways to hold that housing square and secure. The spacers you have referencing the opposing face would be my first choice as well. If they had a bore you could also pull straight down through the middle. Another option would be to use a 90 degree angle plate/block bolted to the T3 flange. If unsure about overhang or having issues with vibrations then fit small adjustable jacks under the overhang for support and clamp down over them.

The iridium plugs are great for demanding applications. We have 2 cars converted to LPG, an 08 Corolla & an 87 Hilux. Both would fall on their face when accelerating from a stop with the plugs specified for petrol. Went down a heat range & converted to iridium & the problems were gone. LPG is harder to ignite than petrol, which I presume is a problem you also encounter with boost. Interested to hear how you go.
