The Gaslight Anthem sind ein Punkrock-Quartett aus New Jersey, das sich seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2005 zu einer der erfolgreichsten Bands des Genres gemausert hat. Das hat es nicht zuletzt dem rauen Organ von Sänger Brian Fallon zu verdanken, das in Intonation und Euphorie oft an den jungen Springsteen erinnert - eines der Vorbilder der Band, der sich auch schon live als Co-Sänger die Ehre gegeben hat.
Die Einflüsse der Band reichen von den Replacements über Ramones bis hin zum typischen Jersey Shore Sound, in dem sich Roots Rock mit R’n’B und einem gewissen Glamrock-Faktor mischt, und oft von romantischen Themen wie Liebe und dem Kampf für ein besseres Leben handelt.

Saw them on the reunion tour this year and it was a fantastic show with no complaints except one: they didn't play anything from Sink or Swim. So now I'm here!
