Wait a second... THEIR renters insurance is going to pay for the reno of the apartment? You may want to look into that. I've been an agent for 10 years (Michigan) and an HO4 renters policy never includes dwelling coverage, only their personal property and personal liability. Could be different but may want to double check... Please let us know! Anyhow, great video as always.

Mine covers damage that I do to the place. I would think if I stated a fire that is damage that I did to the place.

I am dealing with fire damage also. Fire happend in escrow on 8 units i am trying to buy. What u they dont have renters insurance? Ur home insurance paying for it too?

Sad morals; if you are tired, don't attempt to cook. If you are a smoker, then don't smoke in bed. You will save lives as long as you follow these safety protocols. And be sure to have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors .
