Thank you, sir. Excellent video!
Thank you for your video, it was a godsend. I’m a 52 year old female with some bike knowledge and it took me about 3 hours to put together. Clearly Ride1up wants you to take it to a bike shop to be assembled. The most difficult parts were the fenders and the rear brake light for which one needs a socket wrench. It is possible but prepare to be sober and patient. I don’t think I would have been able to do it without your video.
Good job! …. I am glad I was able to help. Hope you enjoy your new bike. They are a lot of fun …. Enjoy! Thanks for watching and the kind words.
Thank you, Steve, for a great video that really helped me with putting together my bike. I wanted to add some protips for consideration, things that helped me during assembly.
1. Take out the battery and sit it aside. It weighs approximatley 9 lbs. Added weight not needed during assembly.
2. Consider putting the seat on as one of your first steps and carefully turn the bike over for assembling the front brakes, allowing the bike to rest on the handle bars and seat (careful not to damage any components like the LCD screen). Resting the bike on its back will allow an opportunity to properly adjust the brakes. Just be careful with the chain, as I spent quite some time trying to work out chain kinks.
Again, thank you Steve for taking the time to make a video that was useful for my needs.
a small amount of grease on the crown race and bearing contact surfaces during assembly will reduce friction, noise, wear, and help prevent water intrusion and corrosion. same goes for pedals and other moving components - tips from a pro bike mechanic.
Super helpful tutorial, thank you for taking the time to make this! I found this a lot more helpful than the six minute long Ride1UP video.
Thanks for watching and glad that I was able to play a small part in your biking adventure. Enjoy your bike and have fun!
Thank you Steve! Great video and you saved me a ton of time!
Glad it helped. Enjoy that bike!
It took me 3 hours to put it together too.
Have fun with it …. Enjoy!!!
@@SmokinSteve enjoying the best gift for my 60th birthday, thank you Steve
Very Nice! …… Happy Birthday!
Steve. You did a GREAT job Sir. Not an easy task for one person but you did it. I have been researching for my first ebike and Im deciding to get this one. First time on your channel. Kudos to you.
ride1up.com/?wpam_id=557 Thanks George ….. When you order if you could go to the link above and order I will get credit for it. Thanks so much
Steve, I bought a Ride 1 up Cafe Cruiser (my 2nd e-bike) this past January. I got it because I have grandkids that live across the street and I wanted to be able to give them rides (I purchased the passenger kit that goes with it). Otherwise, I would have bought a 700. I absolutely LOVE it! And after my wife rode it, she wanted a new e-bike too. So, we got her a Lt. Blue ST 700. It was delivered yesterday. I will be using this video to put it together. I will update you after I'm done assembling it. Thx.
Nice! I’m sure you’ll enjoy both of them. Have fun and be safe!
great video, only thing I would recommend is move your brake line to outside of the fork so tire &/or fender doesn't create a hole over time..
Came for the tutorial, stayed for the cooks. As soon as you said smash that like button, I knew I was in. Thanks for the assembly video, putting a couple together for a friend.
Hey thanks for watching and good luck with the bikes. I think your friends will love them.
Your quick release lever should be facing toward the back as there's much less of a chance of it getting caught on something and accidentally get opened up.
Also your front brake cable should have been routed on the outside of the fork not in-between the wheel/tire and the fork.
Saved this video for my assemble come Saturday!
Good deal … you got this. You’re going to love the bike. Have fun with it and enjoy the ride!
@@SmokinSteve all finished! took about 2 hours taking my time - the most annoying part was the dang tail light! otherwise your video helped tremendously.
Good deal! A couple of hours is pretty good, probably saved between $100-$200 if you had to take it in and have it assembled. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather spend that money somewhere else and put it together myself. Good job! Enjoy the ride!!!!
Thank you! Did you need to adjust the gears?
No adjustments necessary …..
Nice bike! Compliments the recteq!
I know right?! Should be fun, if we don’t kill ourselves.
Question about this bikes motor: Ride1up advertises it as 750w continuous, but the motor seems to be the Bafang H625 model, which Bafang says on their website is max rated for 500 watts. But when I’m riding it on max PAS it’s says it’s outputting 999 watts 😬 gets me going up to 32 mph …..
Steve - thanks for making this video. It is by far the best 700 Series assembly video online. This is my second Ride1Up bike and I thought it would be a piece of cake. I’m stuck on now though on the front fender bolt and light. It seems like bolt may be seated wrong because it seems like it’s going to take 10-20 turns to tighten the light and the fender down. Was yours like this?
Thanks for watching and the comments. If I remember right it was a little bit of a struggle getting that bolt tightened up because of the length and the positioning, but it wasn’t that terrible of a problem to be an issue that I recall all that much.
@@SmokinSteve Thanks. I’m about to give it a shot this morning.
You got this …. Patience may be your best shot at gettin’ ‘er done. Good luck!
@@bernarddouthit4647 how'd it go
I can't see what you're doing. The camera is too close.
Front fender bolt seems way too long
Mr. Steve, that bike doesn't look like the ones I had as a young chap back in the 60's.🤣I do hope that you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!
I know right?! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.
