Simple Way of Taking Body Measurements

Taking correct body measurements is one of the most important steps in making a custom-made dress.
When the body measurements are accurate, the garments can be fit. A well-fitted garmebt can enhance not only the look of the person but also the personality.
There are several parts of the body to be measured. These are taken in:
1. Horizontal measurement is taken from left ofvthe figurevto the right. These are Shoulder, Bust distance and Chest
2. Vertical measurement is taken from the top of the body figure to its base. These are Figure, Bust height, Blouse Length, Crotch, Dress Length, Pants length and Sleeve length
3. Circumferential measurementbis taken around the body. These are Bust, Waist, Hips, Armhole, Leg circumference, Knee circumference and Bottom width.

I'm trying to learn how to sew on my own but I don't know which kind of book will be good for a beginner with 0 knowledge like me. Most of the books people recommend me are out of my reach, literally, since I'm living in the middle of nowhere without any online services. And the videos I found for the beginners are either too complicated or too skip to the point, without even measuring.
