I can kinda see us (The Young Wolf) and Mithrax having a Master Chief/Arbiter type relationship by D3. There are just too many parallels to Halo to ignore IMO.

I remember doing the mission on Titan with my buddy. He went to shoot Mithrax with a Rocket Launcher and I stepped in front of him, made him blow himself up. And told him “No! Mithrax is a good boy!”

But Mithrax is more of an 'on the field' kind of fallen. If anything he could be the eliksni vanguard. Variks on the other hand would fill the role of speaker perfectly... after we beat him and make him realize that Mithrax is the true kell of kells, of course.

This made me so happy for so many reasons: new exotic quest, new kickass pulse rifle, expanded Fallen lore, and MITHRAX BACK AND WITH A NEW DESIGN! AND MORE MITHRAX LORE!
That new design was just a disguise so he could infiltrate the House of Devils. Also, Outbreak Perfected is rec an old exotic. It was the raid exotic for Wrath of the Machine in Destiny: Rise of Iron. As someone who completed the quest for it back than, I think I speak for everyone when saying this was way easier than the quest for it in Rise of Iron.

@@kodyw2960 It is good to see him again. Although from what the Drifter said, it seems no one knows about Mithrax or the Devils. As far as everyone is concerned, everyone thinks we were the ones to break in the vault. Not sure if the Vanguard will be happy.

I've wanted to see an alliance between FOTC and the Eliksni for a long time, they are my favourite race and I can't wait to see more of this coming out in the lore.

@@i-papiseacucumberi-3278 well, it is possible that he did die. One of the Ghost Stories lore entries talks about a Ghost who revived a dead child. This Ghost was later killed by Fallen. It's been speculated that this child is Shin, which would help to explain why he was chosen as Jaren Wards protege and successor to his Ghost
I really hope Mithrax won't have to kill Varricks. The Elixni could benefit so much from Mithrax's leadership and and Varricks' wisdom and knowledge of Elixni culture.

But cayde knew & understood his own recklessness would get the better of him one day, he just understood to not live in fear but with a smile instead. He accepted his fate not knowing when it would happen. And uldren isn't uldren anymore. He's crow, without a memory of his past life.
Personally, I’d love to unite the city and the House of Light. With the D3 leaks mentioning the Eliksni and Cabal being allies of the city, I think it would be the House of Light, with Mithrax as kell, and Calus’s Cabal Loyalists and himself. I always love watching your vids, Byf. Your like the Morgan Freeman of the Destiny community. You have the best voice for a lore master! Excited to see where this Eliksni story goes!
calus would never join the city. according to the new raid lore he'd rather see us kill everyone we've met then ourselves, including bringing Toland back from the dead just so we can kill him again

Calus would, at best, be an auxillary ally to the City in the same sense the Ahamkaras were. He'll be allowed to continue until it hits *just* how dangerous he really is, at which point it would literally be The Great Hunt 2: Electric Boogaloo, with everyone tasking with hunting down all of Calus' Shadows and eventually a direct assault on the Leviathan itself. Mithrax and a House Light alliance isn't outside the realm of possibility, though.

There are already some differences in dialogue in D2. For example, Petra says “Welcome home cousin” when you enter the Watchtower for the first time as an Awoken Guardian, or on Io there’s a scannable object, a Vex artifact that’s been modified to interface with Exo’s, your Ghost will say “don’t touch that” if you’re an Exo Guardian.
Never. I'm sorry. We've been requesting playable fallen and spin off games since D1 but Bungie won't break tradition. However, we might get to fight along side Eliksni according to some massive leaks

When Byf says to put bias' aside, I feel like I'm my guardian. Such an authentic feeling where I question my(Guardian's) actions and judge from my point of view.

My boy Mithrax is back and better then ever, I love the fact that his two guardian friends are still with him and helping him. Also, the fact that SIVA might be coming back is exciting too me, I loved the lore behind SIVA
Also, with the old Eliksni legend that One Eliksni will rise and unite all Houses and Eliksni would be seen by the Great Machine is sort of symbolized and hinted at at the end of Zero Hour. When we kill Siriks (Who people are saying is the brother of Aksis?), Mithrax appears right behind where Siriks was stood with the Traveler looming in the background. This sort of sets the idea that maybe Mithrax is the One Eliksni, he is that which will bind all fabric of Eliksni culture back with his Needle and Thread of Light. (Yes that was a reference to the Needle and Thread ship from Rise of Iron/Age of Triumph)
Maybe we will see more of mithraxx on europa.. i hope so

I've always said since d1 that fighting alongside the fallen in content and a raid would be cool. A bit like halo. He could be a great ally when we need him. Still thinking in year 10 we will call on all these people for 1 massive fight. Calus, osiris, Anna, mara, eris, Elsie, mithrax..

The lore behind fallen guardians is that mithrax dies during some important mission with his raid and gets reborn as an actual guardian and becomes the first eliksni guardian showing the rest of the fallen that they can follow the house of night and once again be with the traveler

The fact that Bungie decided to use the word “rendezvous” when speaking to Mithrax...it really captures what has been happen behind the scenes with the guardians and the captain!
The lore for the Eliksni is so impactful and I really hope it plays a major role in whatever comes after SoO, even if it’s the starting point for Destiny 3.

I want Siva back so bad. By far the best enemy and design in the game ngl. Like the lore behind it and how it came to be is amazing, the power is so immense, and it is nearly unstoppable or uncontrollable at times.

I don't think it's very clear at the end of the Zero Hour mission, but could it be possible that Eramis already got what she broke into the vault for, leaving that Captain/Boss loyal to her to block/stall us and cover her escape?
I'm honestly hoping that what Mithrax is striving for actually comes to fruition in D3. More allies to help fight against the Veil.
I personally would love to have Mithrax as a friend and ally same gose for Variks the loyal. After all our partnership with Spider works out very well. Why not have more alien friends on our side. With more friends gives bungie the opportunity to give us more and newer enemy factions/ races. Maybe Dredgen Yor could return and with him brin Dark/corrupted Guardians, Risen, Warlords, with hime that would be a fun enemy faction to fight or join (Evil laughing)

YeetKevin Yeet I think they need a siva engine/core to actually make use of the siva nanites. I HIGHLY doubt that they have no nanites/tech left whatsoever after the ludicrous amount they produced in Russia, it’s just that they can’t make more or really control it without a “source”, and the Outbreak weapon just so happens to have one of the last siva engines/cores built into it.

Its really cool that they have been using Eramis long before beyond light. Finding all these older Fallen Videos after playing beyond light adds so much more weight to what we've done now.
Also I really hope we get more of Mithrax over the next little bit.

I think there's a certain poetic irony in the fact that to accomplish his goal of raising the Fallen away from the scavengers and they've been into the noble Eliksni he thinks they should be, Mithrax hijacked an enemy Captain's strategy and used for his own goals, just like the all the "classical" piratical Fallen Captains and Kells that Guardians have been killing for centuries. I'm super pumped to see where this story goes!
Ever since I read about Cayde teaming up with that Fallen on Luna, I've been waiting for us to have a real Fallen Ally (Variks isn't trustworthy and Spider is too shady). Mithrax is living up to my expectations so far

My favorite part of the lore tab is how well it shows the deep care and respect the two Guardians have for their Captain, their friend. It makes me think of the lore tab for the Geomag Stabilizers, though happier.
