What are some other exercises to jump higher with ankle weights?
2TORYK
WTch the video
Did anyone try the tips in the video to see if it works?😒
dont be doing 20 reps of these exercise if ur trying to improve vertical. this guy has no idea what hes talking about. anyone who trained plyometrics know u keep ur reps low around 5 bc ur tryna to jump with all ur power. otherwise ur just building up stamina which isnt the point. do about 5 reps 5 sets
454ffv Why should ppl listen to you then? Where’s your video? Why come here and try to discredit this dude? Ppl are gonna do however many reps/sets they’re comfortable with and whatever weight they’re comfortable with
Neil Cesar Thats not how it works. You only do low reps and high sets for power and explosiveness at 100% effort. So he isn't wrong. But you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
I tried with more reps and for some reason my big calf muscles became a bit smaller. Could you explain why it’s happening like this?
@@hooikidz probably like he said that it improves stamina but like doesn’t help with muscle and may decrease your muscle too
Jumping is mainly quad and glutes. Wearing them at your ankle puts zero resistance on your quads and glutes. The weight is felt during hip and knee flexion immediately after triple extension of your hips, knees and ankles. You’re better off just holding them in your hands to add more mass to your upper body. Also, if a novice does this, the tugging on their knees could cause injury
How much do the weights weigh?
about 20 minutes
Don't do this if you want your knees safe
Why?
@@gabrielm8938 because it puts a lot of strain on them. When you bend your knees and jump, your not going to be impacted by the weights until your feet leave the ground. Idk if I'm explaining it well, let me know if this makes sense
This ain't safe for the knees and it doesn't even help in jumping..
i can dunk with 6kg pair of wieghts
U tall 7ft
@@ThaRookieGeo Almost no one is 7ft buddy.
I thought jumping with weights are bad?
not if its too heavy for knees
+sjackhammer how heavy is too heavy
+Rafael Contreras that depends on how strong your knees are
You are so idiot If you lifting weights can't stunt growth
Its bad if u do it wrong
