This scene was actually based on a real life incident between scientists Niels Bohr and Satyendranath Bose(sub-atomic particle 'Boson' from Higgs Boson was named after him) at a conference for eminent scientists. Niels Bohr was explaining a problem but was having difficulty solving the problem as was the case with others at the conference. In the meantime, Professor Bose was sleeping like Dhanush. Bohr, angry and irritated, loudly asked for Professor Bose's help. Bose got up, walked to the blackboard and solved the problem, to everyone's surprise. Then Bose handed the chalk over to Bohr, went back to his place and slept again.
