Hi Sharon at sea. My wife and I absolutely love to sail out of New Orleans. There is something amazing about sailing down the mighty Mississippi...
Great point Jamie the young ones are knocked out and the older people are ready to go !
Hi guys looks like an amazing time with family and friends and embarkation day so jealous Ask for sale the way ports. I enjoyed New Orleans just because a it’s the big easy and the way they turn around the ship and head down the Mississippi River slowly it’s just so cool just floating down the mighty Mississippi also, since this is my home port, I totally enjoy sailing out of San Francisco on the bay underneath the Golden Gate bridge
I couldn’t help but get excited from the beginning of this video…the music and “It’s cruise day!” from everyone (even if the girls tried to be so cool).😊 What a wonderful family adventure! Bon Voyage! Lois
New Orleans is probably my favorite. For the first two hours you are cruising down the Mississippi River before reaching the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Tampa is nice too.
I’ve been on 9 cruises and didn’t know family traveling with us could get a card for our room. Thank for sharing.
Sydney is an awesome sail away, followed by Miami. Leaving from New York in February
We love Frankie, he was our CD on the Miracle back in 2018 "Frankie the Tank - BOOP"
Miami is definitely a favorite sail away of ours. Embarking on Carnival Venezia in New York in two weeks. Can't wait for that sail away!
Buffalo trace for the win! It is by far one of the best under $30a bottle bourbons out there.
I love sailing out of Seattle. All the views of downtown are beautiful. Sailing out of Galveston later this month. I was super grateful for your video about sailing out of that port.
One of the young girls looked like she wanted to be anywhere but on the ship. Sorry I had never seen her on your videos so I don’t know her name . Jamie you’re always the rock star !
Great video guys! Love the content & the feel of being right there with you all. Our favorite sailaway is Baltimore, mostly because it's our homeport. Only an hour drive from home but we've done NYC & being originally from Brooklyn NY it's awesome going back. But getting there is a cluster. No parking if we would drive & hotels are outrageous. We will be on the Pride in Nov 2024 to the Southern Carib when she is homeported back in Baltimore. We were just on Legend in January, one of its other "sisters". Love the smaller ships. Just wish there were more of them. Hope she's still in good shape by then. LOL!
Sharon's mom looks great.
My favorite sail away port is definitely Miami! The beauty of the skyline and everything you pass by lasts 10 or 15 minutes before you get out to sea with the last image being South Beach itself. And so many people are on the shore waiving at the ship and even some holding up signs. Love it every time! And New Orleans is probably number 2 because of sailing down the river which is so unique. But so many of the others are very industrial and not quite what you picture in your mind.
I found that the cruise directors on carnival were seen more often and more involved than the cruise director on Royal Caribbean. We only saw him on the tv in the morning
I agree! We sailed several Carnival cruises, then tried 2 of Royal and 2 of NCL, and returned to Carnival for many reasons….one being better CD participation.
I think the "mellow" sail away is more usual from ports in the UK. I have only sailed from Southampton. Yes, there's music and yes, the crew are dancing and whipping up enthusiasm, but the passengers just sway to the music and walk around the deck, talking and having a laugh. We're definitely all excited and eager, though perhaps not quite as exuberant as in America.
I've sailed many times from Dover to Calais on hols and the White Cliffs never failed to inspire awe.
Tampa - under the skyway bridge!
Miami is my favorite!
Living in NY.. New Orleans is my favorite to cruise from.
I live in Louisiana and New Orleans is my favorite port and my only port I have sail out of
Love the light house
First seeing a welcome show! I'll look out for it on next cruise.
I called the Buffalo Trace……not the beer, but I’ll have try that one.
They brought the back the Late Night Snacks from 11:30 -1:30 or is it 1.
The UK is amazing! Chasidy and I are considering doing something like this for our anniversary. Thank you for taking us along!
New Orleans is a great sail away. Tampa is 2 . Miami is 3
Miami,Galveston
Loved it..a trip of a lifetime here
Good times!! What a nice, mellow sailaway!
Thanks Nancy!!!!!
New York sail away was amazing! I get chills thinking about it! We sail from Miami in January 2024, so we will see if its as good.
bucket list cruise... sad the way it ended
Nice sail away from your balcony! Lots of great info about embarkation day from Dover! Can't wait to see your travels on this cruise!
I agree Carnival cruise directors are the best and we like sailing out of Port Canaveral more because of the ease of getting to the port being Floridans. Miami is beautiful but the traffic can be too much.
Sydney Nsw, Australia
Fav sailaways: NYC SOU MSY
Nice shot of Matthew’s pre-nap yawn in the mirror.
Was the ship docked at the western docks, terminal 2 perhaps? En route to board and that information isn’t anywhere that I saw
I belive it was terminal 2. The Dover port is small, might just handle 2 cruise ships, we were the only ship in port that day.
I don’t think the Europeans are big on sail away parties. Your room looks very nice!
Did you have 4 in your room? What we’re the sleeping arrangements? Curious because I have 3 teens 😊
We did have 4 in our room...the 3rd and 4th person slept one on the sofa and there was a pull down bed from the ceiling for the other.. The main bed was put together to sleep 2, but it can be separated like 2 full size bed.
How did you transfer from London to Dover? Maybe I missed it $?
We used Airport Pickups London..booked it a few weeks before the trip. Took us from Heathrow to our hotel in Folkstone..even took a 15 minute break at a rest stop on the way!!! We had them booked for the return from Dover to London as well, but we never made it back to Dover. Thanks for watching!!!
Where is the Holiday Inn Express?
It's in Folkstone, about 20 minutes from the Dover Cruise Port.

Who is Kallie?
Our granddaughter..
Torturing yourselves with another cruise on Carnival. Maybe you'll get lucky and the engines will operate properly and the whale tail won't catch on fire.😂😂
