I looked at the quart bags today, 1 June 2924. In addition to the black stripe on the closure end, they offered them in violet.

Compared to a ziploc bag, how light are those quart size bags you showed? I know that if you use them many times, they are better for the environment. However, some of us have to limit weight due to health conditions. And we want to limit size too. An ounce saved here and there can quickly add up to a few pounds overall. I already plan on putting my toothpaste pellets in a snack size plastic bag. I do have many prescription and OCT meds that I must pack. Many prescription bottles have wasted space because the pills are small. I take prescription Vitamin D pills. A 90 day supply equals 12 gelcaps. Even the smallest bottle is much larger than the pills, yet I must bring it because I need the prescription label. The label doesn’t peel off so I can't use a smaller container. My prescription meds already take up more room tha a quart container. And they do have to come onboard the plane with me.

Hi Sharron and Jamie I am looking to choose a hotel for the night before our cruise we will be cruising panaroma in november, I understand traffic can be bad into the terminal is there a good time to get there (even if we have to wait before we enter) to avoid the traffic lines. (something like before 9 am etc) we are in a suite, and I understand those can go into the terminal at any time? we will want to drop off out rental car either that morning or night before to avoid paying the parking and rental fee while we cruise, and uber over to the port.

Thanks for the info. We have been on nine HAL cruises and a few other cruises on other lines. We prefer HAL. This year will be our first cruise on the Koningsdam and it was good to get an idea of what to expect. I am disappointed to hear about the music venues. My husband and I enjoy ballroom dancing and on all previous HAL cruises there have been great music for dancing. Also enjoyed the classical string musicians in the past.

Love the Facebook groups for the different cruises. They are helpful and informative. Lots of new cruisers ask questions, and I love to help them out with information.

For the 40 years I've lived here in the inner S.F. Bay Area, the value of Fisherman's Wharf is that it keeps tourists away from the rest of The City. Nothing in that area is even slightly authentic, and no way should you stay in that area if you have more than 3 hours. Never ever go to Fishermen's Wharf if you come to S.F. It's the lowest level of tourist junk priced at 2x what it should be.

I'm going to try the hand wash sheets. I always pack a foaming hand soap, but this is lighter and not a liquid!!

Do you use the whole Olay sheet? Everyone i know cuts them down. I like a solid motion but i have a hard time finding a good one. I'll check that one out@

I love the Olay cloths. They are great for the airplane and hotels in Europe etc quite often dont provide washcloths.

Our first cruise was on royal anthem of the sea in 2022, we then went and tried msc and have been cruising msc ever sinse. They have amazing ships, great service and we can have 2 cruises for the price of one on royal 😁
